@john-folan need to have a good look at the months myself on mine, if only to prepare
And itβs so easy. You can group by months at the bottom. I always check the different group breakdowns to see if there are good filtering angles. Very clever that.

These were crap yesterday. So were my botted short odd lays. However looking over previous results on both and April and October are always iffy as the racing switches from jumps to flat and vice versa. Nothing major and nothing to worry about. However that is another benefit of the software .
Todays trobs. Still no NHF racing.

@kevin-pepper yes back fitting is a concern of mine too. Even I can make a system look good when I know which horse won the race until @Adam can build us all a Delorean there will still be some forward testing as we all know
I have a good baseline for this, is it profitable before any further filtering? If so then I don't see any issue with the filtering to improve. Backtesting is a game changer for myself personally.

@martin Copied your beaten fav stratergy, testing it on Bf Bot manager, would have no chance with just the software and no forum. Has Adam started on the football software yet?
would example strategies that you could see help?
Speaking for myself this would help tremendously, the systems that @John-Folan posted have helped a great deal but the more the merrier!

I think they would for those completely new to this.
I have some experience of testing strategies but found it really useful to try and set up the strategies that @John-Folan kindly shared.
Setting them up helps you get to grips with the software and having John's settings gives you a chance to check what you're doing.
Key point for me when testing out a new strategy is to make sure you've got sound logic behind it. With a fantastic bit of kit like this it would be easy to go through several versions of a possible strategy and find some great looking results but if there's no underlying logic you've probably just ended up backfitting a random set of selections parameters. -

@martin yeah and right over my head, need to sit down and watch them again and focus more
any ideas on how we can improve the tutorial aspect?
-
@carl-ritchie I made a "test" strategy and would just put in scenarios. Then click on the video and Adam does a short explanation. It's handy to watch the videos as you use the software so you can copy along.
-
@carl-ritchie have a look a bit further back in this thread mate @John-Folan has shared some of his systems already. These helped me a lot.

@martin cheers because i am still lost with all these filters
Have you watched the tutorial videos @Adam made?
-
@nick-terracciano no the filters are very simple
