@sean-fitzgerald 1/4 so it finished -1pt. However, I'm going to review the back testing results because I think I've missed something obvious. I'm not sure if the software takes into account the liability for the other horses as it shows 1pt for a win, not 0.5 or 1.5, etc. Even if I halved the current results it'll still be profitable. But I want to make sure I fully understand it.
I'm also looking at a "to place" strategy, but again want to make sure I fully get my head round the results as they are based on horses finishing 1st.
nice one keep us updated!
I'm going to paper trade these alongside the back testing for a bit to see how the results compare. I was wrong, the software does take into account the liability of the other horses as it shows 2 trades which makes sense.

@kc Yeah, so a couple of minutes before the race start just go 'Lay All' and set it to 1.5 and then keep. The idea is that at least 2 horses will get matched. Unfortunately the first one was a loser!
How did the rest go @Dan-MacKinnon ?
-
@dan-mackinnon cheers mate
-
@keith yeah, go to the race where you have all the runners listed. Each horse has a back and lay price. At the top of that column it'll say "back all" and "lay all". Just click that
-
@dan-mackinnon thanks I wasnāt aware there was a ālay allā button. Iāll take a look
-
@keith no just the Betfair website
-
@dan-mackinnon are you using a bot for this? Fairbot?

-
@dan-mackinnon I suppose the clue is in the name but do you lay all the horses in the race?
-
@dan-mackinnon very sensible, still worth testing thing forward as well as backward
-
Right, let's see how we get on. My Lay The Field strategy has some qualifiers.
