@alan-steward Although we're 15 minutes away from being quite an expensive game! 😳

S**t happens. It's one game. I wouldn't sweat it as long as you're doing everything else right. There will always be losses unless you've got a 100%er....in which case everyone will want a piece of that haha!

    Quite right! We go again.

I'm dont do Keith's 3% club, I do my own stuff... I was interested in this game until I noticed both teams have a fairly tidy defence πŸ‘

Yes, losses can be big but Keith gets plenty of winners and if you've followed most of the way you most likely trading from a free bank πŸ‘

Mate, your not a gambler, bettor maybe but not a gambler... You're too smart for that... Most of the time πŸ˜‰

There's a fine line between value bettor and trader isn't there. Just because you take out green you're a trader and if you let your value position run you're a bettor. The way I see it it's no different to someone holding on to a stock after they've purchased it. Are shareholders gamblers? In the true sense of the word yes but I don't think anyone is going to be looking down on Warren Buffett haha!

Exactly... Actually Keith is more of a trader than he realises as also going for SHG he's adding/trading more value to his o1.5 goals πŸ‘

@sam-hankin yes. The main thing to take from it was the variable staking.

She uses up to 3.5, up to 7.4 and up to 11.0

@sam-hankin I do. Use a form of Maria staking if you know what that is.

A few things I should probably address in relation to the 3% Club
The staking is way too high, especially for a newbie. Will probably change this when we up the stakes next month. Lucky I got off to a good start, mentality may have changed if I hit a losing run. I was fairly confident though, because there were loads of games and trading days.
The staking presently is me just playing around. No need to push it, but also no need to sit back either. Anything now is a bonus.
Thinking about it, I'm more of a gambler with trader overtones!

Keith, that is one impressive document, thanks for sharing it with us, I find it really useful, especially the entry points.

On your point about the stakes being a bit high, they look alright to me and I am still a newbie, but with a bit of experience, but they are comfortable ones for me to trade on for sure.

I don't seen any exit points on this, so are they set and forget?... You might have already said so, if you have then sorry for repeating myself, but I am curious

Yes, all set n forget. Suits my trading style.

I've just been reading the book Ryan recommended in one of his videos 'The psychology of money'. I'm up to a chapter where the author talks about managing risk and an example he uses is about card counting and betting more when there is more chance getting the card you want (less risk) and betting less when there is less chance (high risk).

It made me think about the way quite a lot of traders trade using split stakes and lowering your percentage as the risk increases. For example 1pt then 0.6pt then 0.4pt as the odds increase.

Does anyone trade with a set stake depending on the odds, for example. If odds are 1.5 or less using 1pt, 1.5-2 using 0.6pt, 2-3 using 0.4pt ect.

I have just been thinking there must be an optimum scale to use as you wouldn't bet 1pt on over 1.5 goals in the full 90 mins at odds of 1.2 and also bet 1pt if you are watching the game in play and see a good opportunity for a last minute goal and backing over 0.5 goals at 80th min for odds of 4.0?
Just wondering if this has been discussed before and if people have worked out already the best ratio depending on the odds?

    Hope my question makes sense.

@keith-anderson Ah ha, St Gilloise, the new upstarts running away with Belgian league in their first season, funded, apparently, by Tony Bloom.
