Couple on the filter today. Including my boys

@matt-ayles Good, glad to hear it.
I’ve done the same for the past year, every podcast. I need to try to watch more of the YouTube videos as they are different, plus all the content on BTC!
When I began getting in to trading, I didn’t think testing was essential. I was eager to trade to learn how it worked to see if i could be profitable and as you say not miss out on money but it was also me being too lazy to learn how to test.
Having said that, i have always used the Bet Analytix app to track, which has helped but it’s not as valuable as a spread sheet. I’ve used £2 stakes and lost about £200 gradually with lack of discipline and impatience.
I don’t regret that because i see it as a hell of a lot of learning and i know what it feels like to use/lose money now. I was never interested in putting serious money in as knew all a long i was not experienced enough.
I’ve done enough to know I can trade if i develop or use a solid strategy and stick to it. I’m fed up of inconsistency so decided i must test and no longer use money until it’s the right time.A year on and a couple of months in to testing strategies i can see the value of it. It’s huge. It helps you focus on one approach, identify trends and patterns, learn the market/s more intimately and see ways to improve your approach and for me has begun to help a lot with the discipline. Had i not tested, i would never have have seen that side of things.
I just paper test, i don’t lose money as I’m only interested in developing my strategies and learn and it helps you develop a confidence you probably didn’t have before. I know I didn’t.
Even if your strategy had taken a down turn, you’ve tested enough to know it will turn itself around. I aim to get to a point like that, because it will happen to some degree. Any strategy could appear to start off badly.
Hope it continues to play out as your testing did.

Busy day on the filter today, 7 matches in all. Thankfully all spread out throughout the day.
Times are UK.
1130 - Venezia v AC Milan
1330 - Empoli v Sassuolo
1400 - Metz v Strasbourg
1730 - Roma v Juventus
1945 - Inter v Lazio
1945 - Verona v Salernitana
2030 - Belenenses v AroucaSlightly debatable amounts of profit as both the Inter and Verona games had goals bang on 30 mins. Potentially folks could have got the final bet on with those and made more, however, being honest, I did not get on either in time so the below is my profit:
6/7 today, +1.2 points

@sam-hankin that Belenenses first half was crazy. 2 red cards in the first 20 mins!
As longas there's another goal
-
@chris-king feels really good actually mate. Thanks for asking.
I have listened to every podcast BTC have produced and heard Martin mention testing about 5 million times lol. I guess people don't do it so much as they're worried they'll miss out on potential money etc, but I went live with an untested strategy and lost money... so this time, despite the testing going really well, I stuck at it until I was sure it worked.
I guess I was a bit nervous going live but that was more because I decided to post it and worried if it took a downturn I'd look daft.
It's still early days but its followed the same pattern as the testing so far which is pleasing.

Looking good so far today. I'm going to avoid the last one - (2030 - Belenenses v Arouca) just had a look at the stats and both teams concede a lot but they have scored a combined 8 FH goals in 31 games.
If they are going to score you would think it would be against a team that like to concede though so I'll keep an eye on it still.
Update - Managed to get on at 3.0 when the game got more livley with shots around 30th min. I'll just trust in your filter choices from now on. What do I know. haha
-
@matt-ayles How is it going after a week of going live with real staking? How do you feel?
-
For what it's worth, these have been thrown up by my new FH goals filter that I'm trialling.
