@james-woodroffe I’ve just been looking into the weather abit more and have already placed a lay here. I’ll add to it if and when it comes in now.

@tom-david-1 firstly welcome to the forum. Secondly at 1.68 I reckon definitely worth a lay for Sydney. It’s a pretty low risk trade and rain isn’t uncommon for there this time of year and I can’t remember a washed out test. Also with Sydney it could just as easily blow away so I guess we just wait and see.

@tom-david-1 One of the major problems in this as i see it is that for BAN to score 400+ on a NZ wicket means that the wicket is obviously as flat as a wicthes chest, and BAN dont have the bowlers to inflict any real damage. Draw odds-on for me here.
Personally, i will be trading aggressively to get me out of my current big red.

Have been considering laying the draw in the NZvBAN test all day today

Bangladesh have every chance of posting a 150 1st innings lead, if they could bowl NZ out by lunch on day 5 there could be time for a result.

Evening all, been in the forum a couple of times but seem to have a problem with subscription payments so just paid for annual pass.

Only use it for this thread really, been a busy few weeks of cricket, massive swings in the BBL this year and obviously great this time of year for test cricket.

What’s everyone’s opinions on the upcoming 4th ashes test. The draw price is now at its lowest of 1.68, the forecast is not looking great thunderstorms forecasted every day, do we think we will see enough play to get a result?

    SA IND
backed DRAW @7 for a starter nothing huge
Plans to full flip and some and LAY@5’s

Also eye on if SA get to short to lay low

I'm on the draw back too. Hoping tomorrow gets the rain that certain sites are predicting but sources appear unreliable.

Definite result in this game (SA v IND) now. Weather set fair, dodgy wicket and more than 4 days left . Well done those people who got in at 3 (not me !)

Draw was hitting 3.1 , then Vihari gets out, drifted to 4 .
Pitch seems 'difficult' according to Nicholas, and India and SA batting both depleted by loss of Kohli and De Kock respectively - can only see a result here. Gonna wait a bit to see if if can drift a bit further before lumping in on LTD.

Anybody got a good entry point for LTD? - thinking about 3.4 .

Having already greened up my NZ lay I am looking at laying the draw to remove some of the green on that part of the market, especially with 3 days left and seemingly no threat of rain... 3.85 seems a reasonable price?

Poor day for me that. However still green, just less of it. Not going to do anything though, apart from praying for a 2nd innings batting collapse from one of the teams!

No Kohli at the Wanderers. It’s a shame cause he wasn’t there in Oz either.

@jonathan-busch we are all learning mate. @Nathan-Bennett summed it up perfectly learn to hold. No need to rush if ya not happy with odds or potential liability.

@jonathan-busch took me awhile and forever learning … maybe use this opportunity to learn one of the hardest lessons
    Learn to hold !
While this could end up drawn there’s still angles for result

@jonathan-busch This is only the third Test played at Mount Maunganui, so there's not too much to go on. That's one reason I haven't been laying the draw here. NZ have won both matches here pretty comfortably, and if they get any kind of decent lead, I wouldn't rule out a last day charge by the Kiwis.

Another frustrating day for me. Laying the draw has got me in trouble in the last couple tests. Entering too early when it comes steaming in and then watching it steam in further until I have a liability I'm not overly comfortable with... Need to sit on my hands a bit longer or get on with a back to lay...More time reading markets needed...

@nathan-bennett that’s great mate well done.
I know I did the right thing yesterday by closing out knowing I was going on the lash but I can’t help but keep thinking “Oh my this could have been a very lucrative few days.” 🤣🤣It’s all good tho still nicely in the green.
