Yes, all working out rather nicely. Who on earth would back at that kind of price with three days' play left?
-
@richard-futter didn’t see this was out but 1.38 me just don’t think and lay lay lay
-
Layed the draw at 1.36 in South Africa. Whatever happens, with nearly 300 overs of cricket to come, that's a totally crazy price.
-
Best thing for the Ashes would be for the last two matches to be cancelled and the team called home this has been embarrassing. The gap between county and test cricket is too big, needs a massive rethink
-
Didn’t get as much green out of that Test as hoped but still felt like I traded it pretty well.
I gave up a bit of green for a small lay on Australia this morning. Didn’t come off but was the right play I felt at start of play today.
A thanks to all the experienced cricket traders here as my Test match trading has evolved and improved from straight one dimensional LTD to be a bit more nuanced as a result of your knowledge sharing.

@stuart-wallace I've been watching this game since the days when Boycott, Edrich, Barrington and Dexter were leading the England batting, and this has to be an all time low for me. They started the series badly and got worse and worse and worse. Where was the fight? Where was the professional pride? Both completely missing. Unless the Aussies take pity on us, it's an inevitable 5-0 whitewash Down Under.
Agree Richard. Not seeing any fight from England. From an Aussie perspective it’s always great to get one over the English but I want to see a good tussle. The English team just don’t look like they want to be here. It’s a bit disappointing to be honest.
I can only imagine the headlines over there.

This is even worse than AUS at Nottingham.
Its just easy money though.
Many heads should roll after this - the first being Silverwood. -

@stuart-wallace indeed ! A spectacle would be nice 180 lead aus 2/10 haha think I dreamed this
Not convinced England are gonna make 80 let alone anything resembling a lead.
Must be really frustrating for Root just watching partner after partner walk in and out... -
Have had to have a small lay of Oz at 1.08.

England are so poor...
Focus changes to the SA game. I fear I may have entered too early at 2s but I've learnt not to panic thanks to all your help, so I'm ignoring the red number and focusing on the action. Of which there will hopefully be an hour or 2. Fingers crossed.
Me too Matt, theres a lesson learnt in not to LTD until you've seen the weather forecast on the first day - schoolboy mistake i will never do again ! Unfortunately, that now means i am staring at a huge red , and dont know what to do with it - any suggestions?
BTW Cricinfo saying that they are only going to plan an extra 30 mins per day now at end of play. - so, in total about 4.5 hours will be lost overall.
I'm hoping (obviously) that India go for it in first session (unlikley) - maybe first hour of second session, if then SA are 5 down by end of day, then i would hope they are still 300 behind, and still a big hill to clime, thus raising the draw price accordingly.Wouldn't be so hard on yourself mate. It's not that bad. I say I went in early only based on value, I had seen the forecast and knew there would be some play missed but that often helps us as can lay the draw at a more appealing price.
I wouldn't worry about your red screen. See how we are looking after a few sessions tomorrow, test cricket can change in any moment. Every chance there will be green on the board in the next 48 hours or so.

I thought they were starting 30 mins earlier as well?
I hope so, and thats what normally happens in SA, but can only find a reference on Cricinfo for 30 mins extra at end of play.

odds currently 1.52, will wait for the first few overs tomorrow to see what the odds are. Ideally under 1.50 if possible.

Good time to Lay the Draw in SA V IND?
Next two days look clear and sunny mate. Despite the loss of today still plenty of time for a result.
