@matt-ayles I'm in the same boat, another lesson learnt Playing the long game though, still a lot of cricket to be played.

England are so poor...
Focus changes to the SA game. I fear I may have entered too early at 2s but I've learnt not to panic thanks to all your help, so I'm ignoring the red number and focusing on the action. Of which there will hopefully be an hour or 2. Fingers crossed.

AUS 1.11 lay
Want 1.25 for this tradeAll good if no good by lunch tmr
-
Only Covid can save England now!
-
Fell asleep on the couch woke up in time to see Oz bowled out for 267. Liability removed looking for Oz to get out to 1.60 before greening up. So far similar to last year v India.
-
LAYING AUS 1.21
Want 1.6
that may require a ENG 30/0 start or 2/100 pending aus leadhappy to find out current state of play , possible re lays change of INNS if super low
-
The Victorian in me would love to see Harris score runs today, the trader side of me would love it if we were 5 down by lunch.
-
Small
BACK to LAY DRAW after Lyon wicket
Long term expectation AUS score millions and ENG try a repeat of Adelaide and can full flip and then LAY DRAW lower odds
If doesn’t happen always got a void covid market on your side ha -
IF and its a big IF, England can somehow bowl us out for around 300 they get themselves back in the test match and a little light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not convinced England are that bad I personally think that some of them are tired. I can't remember a captain since Alan Border possibly Brian Lara who's had so much pressure on them to score and put their side into some semblance of hope. If the England bowlers can stand up today who knows.

Weird all this testing of healthy people
Draw the line move on worldHere here now let’s make some money. I’ve laid Oz at 1.16 England have to show something today. The Ashes are gone but they have to show up and give themselves a fighting chance to claw back their way.

Breaking news, a family member of the England cricket team has tested positive for covid.
Actually it was a false positive because PCR testis are not a diagnostic test. The sooner we stop wetting our pants because of a highly faulty testing procedure which is now a billion dollar industry the sooner we can all get back to normal. Testing people who are asymptomatic because boxes need to be ticked is ridiculous and why we are still in this crap. Thank god a semblance of common sense has prevailed. Bring on Day 2.
-
@matt-ayles yep just read that. Only chance of a draw gone.

The market seems wedded to the idea that this match is going to be a draw, but I reckon there could be some tasty lay prices tomorrow. Even today, 1.64 seems a ridiculous price.
India have batted well today and look like they're trying to set a big number. Even with a full days play missed (if that happens) the way they've gone about their business today I'd fancy a result.
After looking at the Weather forecasts, and knowing the weather patterns of the area, i get the feeling that they may well get in a couple of hours play during tomorrow between the showers and thunderstorms. If they can also gain an extra hour a day on days 3,4,5, then we are close to getting a full 5 days play in. As i said earlier, i think India will likely declare with circa 470 on board early on day 3 (unless, of course, they decide to bat as long as poss with a view to bowling SA out twice - however, this tactic may be slightly flawed should they adopt the latest strategy given the option of a follow on, and bat again . Thats something to be aware of.)
TBH, with the exception of De Kock,Edgar and Markham, the likes of Petersen (test average of 14), VD Dussen,Bavuma, Mulder are not quite Smith,Amla,Kallis,ABDV,Du Plessis !
Plus also, India have probably one of the best Test bowlers in Bumrah at their disposal too.
TBH, i dont quite understand the LTD odds, quite boggling to me, and feel that most people are believing that there is going to be a total wipe-out of tomorrow, without understanding the possibility of extra play on the other days, which all look good. In my view, SA will likely have to bat for best part of 3 days to get a draw - which will take a lot of doing.Oh, and also, Centurion is known to be a pitch which gets quicker as the Test goes on.
-
SA’s batting to me does look a little thin and India has an awesome attack. They’ve set themselves up where anything less than 400 will be deemed a disappointment.
