With the weather set fair for the next five days, the draw looks a remote possibility as England look to bounce back against India at Southampton.

I wouldn't be laying at the current price of 7 but with plenty of sunshine in the offing I would be very surprised if we don't see that price shorten during the first couple of days, especially if England bat first.

Anything under 4 will be very good value indeed.

And I totally agree with Luke about England's price; almost invariably they bounce back from defeat very well at home. Evens looks a very good bet - again as long as they win the toss.

Four years ago they piled up the runs against India here and won very easily. Kohli is a different batsman now to the one who was humbled here in 2014, but even so I fully expect England to win.

    Save Test cricket!!

This is a great result for us traders because it will give us some good pre match odds to work with for the 4th test, if England had won from an SP of 1.6 then i expected 1.5 or lower, we can expect Eng to be closer to 1.8 now maybe evens, this will keep the draw price down for a lay.

lol so hilarious being able to lay at 10s for a good long while during the buttler stokes partnership! weren't even halfway to that impossible total! one wicket and 10s to 150s. too much fun!

Gonna be in single figures soon - even though they still need another 320 runs. Crazy really. But the draw has to be way too short at under 20's. Should be a very remote possibility indeed.

@carl-roberts said in Summer Cricket Thread:

@richard-futter Am I not right in thinking that laying England at 21.0 is basically free money?

Value lay because you can lay 18/1 when this should be 1000/1 + ,

Another 30-40 runs without wicket and the price might start coming down nicely.

@carl-roberts it's a value play as it has never ever happened in the history of test cricket. Obviously a high liability though if it does lose so as ever only trade what you can afford to lose, nothing is quite free money but this is very close to it for sure!

@jalpesh-madlani india price will rise a bit when they declare, so if we can jump that early maybe get a couple of ticks. got to hope England bowl India out quick and market starts to overestimate England chasing this down.
