Baring in mind that SL dont have to win this match, their equation is simple, occupy the crease for the whole of tomorrow trying to score 3 an over. That will give them a 267 lead. The Highest run chase here is 268. Dont fancy WI to get 267 on the last day. I think that SL wont get 3 an over mind, so they might have to bat into Day 5 if possible. Easier said than done as both teams have had batting collapses in this match already.

@nathan-bennett I’ve removed liability now with a nice green sitting on SL if they bat well and an ok on Windies. Tomorrow at work should be quiet but I removed in case it wasn’t. Made a meal of day 5 in India v NZ as jet lag came on fast and undid a lot of good work so being cautious this time around with so much cricket on the horizon. As you said could be a lot of swings and would love it if SL have pretty much wiped the deficit off by stumps no more than 1 down.

mountains time left in this test
if draw approaches 2.0 at all could be a decent lay

hoping solid start SRI with bat and not have to sweat my book too much ha remove liability when WI get around 5's

will have an eye on SRI run rate / wickets as get towards knocking off deficit
and importantly partnerships go along way to determining if WI have a shot in this or not come 4th INNS

    many swings possible

Hoping the same regarding the draw. I've squared my book for now.

@james-woodroffe aim is still to remove red around 5ish if WI get there then could be feet up for a while
a re lay of WI 1.5 styles could also be mandatory ha

@nathan-bennett got a WI lay in at 2.06 you never know if a collapse is around the corner more than likely we could see more rain. Looks a great day today to be fair and the ball is spitting a little.

@andy personally happy with my WI lay at mo

cautious of time and potential deficit for SRI at the mo and if have a decent deficit what intent do they play with
seems WI are comfortable for now
    maybe after lunch a change

A long range thought WI SRI
    SRI have series lead
if WI got a big enough lead
    could SRI shut it down

some of the mentality behind WI lay and maybe drip lays if real short

@dan-peacey draw price has drifted out this morning to 4.10 as the weather looks pretty good for today. The problem with backing the draw in SL mate is that the weather can improve dramatically really quickly. I got out this morning and laid it again at 3.80. The ground staff at Galle are arguably the best in the world. They will get the players off and the ground covered with no rain and 10 minutes later it will bucket down. I backed the draw late yesterday with an eye on a wet miserable day 3 but it looks like at worst a couple of potential showers so no hesitation in laying it again.

@james-woodroffe Forecast still looks grim for the remaining 3 days, hence why I decided to back the draw.

@nathan-bennett doesn’t look very promising at the moment and the jet lag hasn’t quite gone away. Solid start also. 🍻

Whole ground covered and backed draw at 3.30. It looks pretty grim but still a lot of cricket to be played and it is Galle.
