    Hi everyone,

I am new to BTC but not new to trading. I though Id create a thread to hold me accountable for my trading and progress into going pro. I work full time in the Army at the moment so I haven't got all day to trade unfortunately.

My first aim is to create a BOT for horse racing and another BOT for football. I've never really had success in creating any BOTS but i am now feeling really confident because of the posts in this group. So motivational and inspiring!! If anyone has any links for further posts in here on successful BOTS and how to go about creating them, please feel free to tag me in them or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had a good day with in running horse trading today making 6 points profit. However, I haven't been able to do any football or Tennis today.

My best part of trading today was seeing when I made a mistake with a trade and successfully getting out for minimum loss. Taking minimum losses is definately key to long term success.

These are my picks for today. Not sure what the odds are yet. But I wont go in too high as it's just not worth the risk. Protect the bank is always rule number 1.

Hey @Ryan , Kind of. I would recommend taking a 12 tick loss IF you are not watching the race. But if you are watching the race and you see other horses going better then you can make a better judgement. If I'm watching I will trade out for 12 -20 tick loss depending on how the race is going.

@lee-turner These look promising, 12 tick offset is that both ways for profit or loss?

These are my L2B picks for today. I'll keep an eye on the odds etc before selecting a single horse. I'll lay at the off and set an auto 12 tick hedge. I'll also manually trade in play for a few ticks at a time depending on how the horse is running/jumping.

I never ever stay in a race and always trade out. I've got set rules I stick to religiously to allow me to be profitable long term. Remember this is trading and not gambling.

    Doncaster
    1515 - Jett

    Cheltenham
    1315 - Bun Doran
    1350 - Cool Cody

@martin Afternoon Martin, I use a different site for the horse racing data. I down load the excel sheet every day and I'm looking for -

    • Minimum 6 races in the last 18 months.
    • 0 wins in the last 5
    • Avg % drop in the last 5 to be over a set amount.

That's the minimum requirements. If the list per race is still big I'll then shorten it more by -

    • Minimum 6 horses
    • Odds under 15 (although I'll only lay under 10 usually)
    • Course/Distance winner.

A fair amount of research does go into it. But that does pay off. Especially if you keep discipline.

Morning all. I have had some pretty good success over the last couple months with L2B on the horses. So I thought I would share my L2Bs for Bangor today.

I'll lay at the off and set an auto 10/12 tick hedge. I'll also manually trade in play for a few ticks at a time depending on how the horse is running/jumping.

I never ever stay in a race and always trade out. I've got set rules I stick to religiously to allow me to be profitable long term.

This week has gone pretty well. Horse trading is kind of my bread and butter at the moment so I'm not doing too badly there. Just need to cut out a few mistakes.

My main aim this week was to take note of every single trade I do. Its taken me around a week so far just to get the spreadsheet looking how I want to and still haven't lol!

I've done a lot of paper trades on the football and I would be down overall. But it's all a great learning curve.

What a great idea Lee, makes sense to me. I'm just starting on my own journey with trading so its a good idea to have A way of accountability.

Not sure about BOTS though. I have used different types of exchanges previously, not trading related where BOTS caused serious issues

    Either way, good luck matey
