Greened up on Ash just before so I can just enjoy the match. 2.5 points green from my outrights (have greened up on Djokovic and apologies if I’ve already mentioned that) but dropped a point on the Hurkatz match this afternoon. Was out and about, and to be honest time escaped me. Very limited trading on Wimbledon waited till I was done to take any real interest. 1.5 points green for the tournament.

@simji my Hurkatz call seems to have backfired on me. It happens.

@james-woodroffe thanks hadn’t considered whether or not there was a break after the game in question although it makes sense

@chris-osborne nice work mate well done. I reckon the opposing of the player who fails to capitalise on break points is sound and something I’ve noticed is, if its not a sit down after they’ve failed to convert it’s more likely they’ll get broken themselves.

More like it one game traded today which was the Pliskova v Sabalenka sf.

Backed Sab at 6-5 in first set on Pliskova serve after Pliskova had not taken 8 break points including a few in the previous game. Sab immediately broke to take the set for 0.5pts profit.

Took the 1st set profit and layed Sab at the start of the second set. Other than the final game, Pliskova looked to be playing better although could have capitulated after losing the first. However, she broke at 2-2 and held to make it 4-2 at which point cashed out and moved on with 1.2 PTs profit

Opposing someone who had failed to convert a number of break points in the previous game is a scenario I’m looking for as it can play on there mind. Doesn’t always work which doesn’t cost too much but can give you leverage for trading later in the match.

Cannot believe that Hurcatz is 3.15 for his semi final against Berrentini (1.45) tomorrow. Outstanding value for someone who just dismantled the best grass court player of all time. Berrentini is obviously playing some good tennis but I couldn’t pass that up.

Hurkatz even the least I can do is get his spelling right. Comes from being a Woodroffe.

Gutted to see Fed like that he’s been solid for so long, what a player - we’ve been blessed by some amazing players all at the same time.

@james-woodroffe Can’t help thinking that was his least game at Wimbledon and probably not how he’d want to go out but the best player of all time there and needs to be remembered as such

Taking a half point hit on Fed down 2 sets to love against a very good yet underrated Hurcatz. I wonder if “the slip” goes into Wimbledon folklore as the end of an era? 🤔

Backed Fed at 2.0 after he was broken earlier by Hurkatz.

Djokovic now into 1.35 I have removed all liability and have 2.3 points green should Novak win the title. I’ve also removed all liability in the women’s leaving me with 1.3 points on Ash should she go all the way.

I intend to green up should either or both make the final.

I'd love to try and build some kind of odds system with the forecast to see if they'd work as a set and forget lays 😮

@james-woodroffe to add to what James has said, Muchova was also clearly struggling for fitness which is why I look the loss at the end of the first set. Should have been a close three set match but Muchova clearly off her game.

None of the other matches had anything close to trading opportunities

@simji mate I wouldn’t ever recommend doing set and forgets on the tennis especially on the women’s tennis as it’s way to unpredictable. My plan today with the Muchova match was to remove liability if she won the first set and then green up if Kerber had won the 2nd. Likewise if Kerber won the first I’d close out at one set all. I took a loss when Kerber consolidated the break in the 2nd. Set and forgets might work well in football bro but I’d seriously reconsider it going forward in tennis.

Went to work so left it as a set and forget in the first set.

Juts checked the result now. Oh well. But it was good value so would do it again

Not a great day but Muchova definitely has the game to do well on grass didn’t bring it today but Kerber obviously needed Wimbledon to kickstart her again. Most would of written her off but respect to her.
