As a Collingwood supporter it pains me to say this but 2.26 for Fremantle is great value. Just think that Justin Longmuire could easily out coach caretaker Harvey given his knowledge of the Pies just throwing it out there. New era at Collingwood hope I’m wrong but great value and worth it.
Nope I was right
might as well profit makes losing hurt less.

@ian-parry mate it’s a sport that’s made to trade. A couple of good strategies I’ve seen from the Aussie boys back home is laying the team leading by 15 points and laying poor teams who lead at HT. Having to call in Australia to place in play I can only imagine would be a headache but I like your idea re the T20 1.40 it’s a good twist.
Even today laying Brisbane when they kicked the first 6 was it? You could have grabbed some nice green when Geelong inevitability got on a roll of their own. Let alone a week or two back when Adelaide came from 40 behind to roll the Saints. The momentum shifts and scoring in the AFL really make it a top trading sport. The only problem here in the U.K. is when those opportunities present themselves at 5am on a Sunday morning and dragging yourself out of bed to watch North or the Gold Coast play -
@simji it’s a brilliant documentary. Regardless of if you follow or understand Australian Rules it’s sports documentary making of the highest standard. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves sports. The access to teams and the story itself is of the highest standard.

Anyone watched the documentary on Amazon about AFL during covid?
I'm into a lot of sports but never been able to get into AFL. But I like a good behind the scenes documentary

@james-woodroffe Thanks for the reply mate. Would be interested to hear from the other aussies. I suspect a large amount of the in-play money on the AFL is foreign money.
I'm going to play around with a few strategies on the AFL. Firstly I'm going to try backing at 1.4 on both teams when the prematch price of each team is above 1.7. A bit of a variation on the 20/20 strategy on here. It may need some more in depth stats analysis but we'll see how it goes. I'm certain there is money to be made on the AFL markets.

Hey Guys,
Ian here, another aussie and new to BTC. Good to see a thread focused on Australian sport. It looks like a lot of stuff here is in-play trading on the AFL. Do you guys bet in-play over the phone? Or do you have some way of getting around the in-play restrictions online?
Hi Ian, welcome mate.
I actually live in the U.K. so I’m able to trade it in play when I do but not sure how the other guys go about it back in Oz. -

I’ve laid Melbourne here at 1.14 leading the champs by 30 at 3qtr time.
Will take a huge effort to reign it in but will be interesting to see how Melbourne cope.Well it seems Melbourne are legit which is great news for the cities Volvo drivers but not good news for the Ski resorts. Footy is better tho when the Dees are up and about.

@sean-fitzgerald I watched it mate it was a cracking game I can’t remember a debut quite like that 70’s porn star had for Port I’ll have to remember his name.
Yep, I know the dude you mean. Name also escapes me. The Port ferals will love him
. He got plenty of it and in a really gritty way that you don’t expect from a debutant.

@sean-fitzgerald great!

Right....I’m in! 3qtr time and Port up by 11 points . I’m laying them at $1.37. Will aim to get some liability out along the way and re-assess with 10mins to go
I’m out with 5 mins to go and Port out to $2.30.

Watching Port v Tiges. Port kicked a goal with 5mins to go in 3rd Qtr. They were 1 point behind and went 5 points up and price moved 40 ticks ($1.97 - $1.47). Corrected back a little by a few ticks but that just seems crazy movement for that game situation

I wasn't at the game, just watching from home on Fox Footy.. I placed the bet before the siren sounded, but given there was 15 seconds left when he took the mark, I knew it was going to be an after the siren shot.
Also laid the Cats at 3 qtr time yesterday at the crazy odds of $1.03
Nicely done Peter. I missed the Cats/Hawks game. That is a great lay at $1.03.

I backed the Lions, as Bailey was lining up for the final goal after the siren, amazingly the odds were $3.70...
That is crazy you could get those odds. Never looked like missing either.
Not sure if you were at the game or not but if not your telecast must have been pretty spot on. I noticed tonight’s match the odds were about 10 secs ahead of my telecast although I was streaming and then casting to TV so I suppose I can’t complain.
