@nathan-bennett if you get the chance mate read my blog, i give a detailed explanation of all my t20 trades. T20 is my bread and butter for cricket trading. Iv also got a sheet on my results sheet that helps me decide if im entering based on the match situation.

KKR were actually around 1.46 before the chase then a few good overs later they were down to 1.12. That price really didnt move too much until the fall of ranas wicket when they started to doddle and the wicket slowed right up. Chennai is a slow and turning pitch, we have seen that in all the games. If there isnt a settled batsmen come the last 5 there its a hard knock as we saw with both teams unable to hit consistent boundaries late on.

Id post these inplay but t20 market move all the time so makes it harder to post in time to show when value is on offer with them.

@keelan-kanji hi mate, sorry for the delay in responding. I’m still a work in progress mate but as a general rule I’ll back the chasing side when I feel they have the run rate under control and wickets in hand. Especially with power hitters still in the shed.
I aim for 8 to 10 an over but I’ll hold if there’s a set batsman and plenty of fire power to come. My cut off is 13. I reckon if you need 39 from 3 and are only 3-4 down most times you’ll get the job done.
Entering during the chase helps me with discipline and I like to see what the chasing side have as a target. The odds move more in favour of the batting side so that’s why I like to stick with them.

I didn’t trade the IPL today cause of work but when I checked I noticed that SRH needed 11 an over from midway through their chase even though they had Pandey and Bairstow set. I like 8-10 as I mentioned and will hold till it gets over 13 but I wasn’t going to enter at 11’s.

    @james-woodroffe

    Nice one!
Do you have any rules or indicators your using to back or lay in the IPL or do you go off feel/momentum?
I feel like wickets in hand is very important for posting big scores/chasing mid-big scores but could imagine betfair/the books account well for this?
Cool to read your results and good luck trading.
    Cheers

Nerve wracking end to that Pakistan v SA match but happy days. Backed Pakistan at 1.95 in the 9th over but Fakhar and old man Haffeez fell at one stage they got out over 4’s but had faith in Rizwan and the middle order power hitters. In the end an overthrow secured it for Pakistan with a ball to spare. Rizwan the hero again.

How good is IPL 🍻🍻6 points to start off. 3 on the match and 3 more on greening up on the tie. Backed RCB at 1.70 early in the powerplay and got out around 1.35 and then entered again at 3.65 and out at 1.90 laid the tie at 1.03 and got out at 1.30.
    Happy days.

@darri Na I was never going to bail out of it I’ve seen enough of Hassan Ali at the death to know they were still a chance. Probably entering after 12 - 13 overs whenever it was is probably a touch to early. It was definitely under 300 at one stage late in the innings and I also saw it at +334 at some stage.

Was thinking that’s why I don’t back 1st innings totals after the Pakistan collapse. Unlike T20 cricket tho ODI’s give plenty of time for momentum shifts. They dug a huge hole for themselves Pakistan but were still able to rectify the situation.
So important to at least have one set batsman in the death overs.
320 in the end 63 off last 4.

Back of Pakistan +299.5 at the end of the 12th.
This is not something I’ve thought much about previously with ODI’s but good deck and good start here for Pakistan.

@martin-futter just watching live and trying to pre-empt swings, bit of scalping, trying to lock in any profit on eventual winner. Did pretty similar on the golf.

Second time cricket trading - and came away with decent profit.
First time golf trading too - did even better - but it seemed a little more stressful than cricket.
Probably should have greened up a bit earlier rather than hang in there for the extra profit ( which turned out ok ), but hey, I'm learning!
