World Cup Day 3 Trading Notes
-
Well I hope you all got on our Cristiano Ronaldo top goalscorer tip earlier this week, his odds have gone from 22.0 to 3.25 already!
Enjoy the group stage games while they last as I am not sure we will see the type of open football we got last night in the knockout games when teams usually tighten up.
One key observation made so far is that match tempo has been very obvious and easy to trade/predict. We have had two open attacking games from the get go, Russia and Spain's matches which yielded 5 and 6 goals respectively. We have had two very tight games from start to finish, Uruguay and Iran's matches which yielded one very late goal apiece.
Watch this trend and see if it continues as if it is this easy to identify tempo and see it sustained then we can trade the goal markets for very nice profits, the market expects low scoring games as internationals are often tight affairs with teams desperate not to lose, so when an open game does develop backing goals could well pay off in a big way as it has so far this opening week.
May sound obvious to say but watching a match and identifying the flow of the game is an edge you can have over the market, the market tends only to react to big events like goals and red cards or time decay, ignoring the tempo and flow.
4 matches today, should be a cracker!
