Hey folks, I'm a new member to BTC and have to say am very impressed. I have a career background in IT (30 years or so), and appreciate how much effort has gone into developing this platform and community.

Where you are from? Surrey
What stage are you at in your trading journey? Amateur enthusiast, but have already some experience with betfair, spreadbetting, market automation (Python, APIs and BetAngel Guardian)
What's your background? IT career for almost 30 years, the majority of which has been in internet security
Why did you join BTC? Primarily to backtest strategies for the horse racing markets, with a view to fully automate and slowly grow the account over a long period of time. Also to share ideas with the community, and help where I can
What do you hope to get from the community? Brainpower! Tips and tricks for a newbie, but more than happy to share back
What are some of your trading goals? Consistently profitable (months not days), continue researching and testing, extend into other markets, and leverage other strategies/techniques outside of sportsbook

@Mark-Hewett Welcome Mark, I am also in Surrey... I am only on the football side of things at the minute but keep an eye on the horse racing thread as think with the back testing and automation that may be where I end up...
