Hi I'm Andrew, I'm 41 years old, married with two young children a 3 year old and 3 month old.

What stage are you at in your trading journey?
At the very beginning!
What's your background?
I started out match betting in Feb this year and got really in to it however after a few Gubbing's and even though there is still plenty to do in match betting I did start to wonder about life after match betting. I am not interested in messing about trying to open multiple accounts. So that's when I stumbled across a post in a forum about Betfair trading and another pro-trader so I started looking more into Betfair trading. I admit at first I thought maybe I could make loads of money doing this but I quickly realised there's a lot more to it than that.
Because I have no one to talk to about Betfair trading I'm really trying not ramble on lol!
Why did you join BTC?
I actually found BTC when I was looking for Betfair trading podcasts to listen to and I stumble across BTC's podcast. I listened to the first one with Martin and I was hooked I could hear it in Martins voice how much BTC means to him and how passionate he is about helping the BTC members. Then I started watching the YouTube videos I love how much BTC means to you guys and how protective of it you all are and I want to be apart of that.
What do you hope to get from the community?
I hope to learn as much as can from the other members there ideas and strategies and also give back to the community with my own ideas and strategies.
What are some of your trading goals?
My time is quite limited at the moment with having such a young family and a full time job so I would like to find one or two strategies maybe that I could work around my life at the moment and that I can really get my head into and understand and hopefully build from there. It would also be good to chat to other members who are in a similar situation or started out like me and are now making a comfortable living.

Really looking forward to see where this goes.
In terms of which sport to trade, because there is so much information out there now on Betfair trading its been a bit of a mine field so I'm not really sure is the answer. I did start last night with the "new members start here" thread and that's been brilliant I actually feel like I have a direction now. I wrote down were I am as a trader, my bankroll I even have a football strategy that id been thinking about for ages and now I've actually written it down and given it rules. Cant wait for part 2 and 3 tonight.
So actually I guess football trading is the way forward for now seeing as my time is limited and you guys have developed set and forget and automated strategies.
Interesting about the Match betting Martin wonder how that will develop overtime.

@andrew-benn hi Andrew, welcome which sport are you looking to trade?
I've done a lot of work recently on set and forget strategies for people who do not have much time to trade.

If you need any help just ask
You are right to avoid multi-accounting, it's fine if a spouse, family member etc but it's a very grey area and I am very worried about the legality of it. (I spoke to a solicitor who was very concerned that people doing it would get hit with massive tax bills, or fraud making money in other people's names)
So Betfair Trading is definitely the next step on from Matched Betting.
