Hi everyone
Well Ive been watching BTC videos for so long I thought it was time I joined.
Initially reluctant (Im a member of a similar - and very good- site). But the diversity of BTC has me swayed so now Im a member of both.Ive been trading football for a few years. Ive kept most of the counts and do show a profit - but its inconsistent . Ive been known also to lose my head on a couple of occasions and risk my bank. These things have to stop. Now I know nothing about Ryan or the other guys who run this group but they seem level headed enough to offer decent advice.
In a previous life I have been a scientist and university lecturer. Ive travelled the world and been very fortunate. Im now 70, clearly retired but love the idea of using statistical data to make some money. I also breed rare tarantulas. Well it keeps the burglars away.
So good luck to all and I hope to be here a long time..I thought I would mention one other small matter. Im guessing that the majority of the members of this site are guys - so wont be aware of my famous daughter.... A few years back,, my daughter was out of work, a single mum and flat broke. She is a very positive person and was (and is) an exponent of the power of visualisation in fulfilling your dreams. Fast forward 5 years and she is the owner and CEO of ZoeBee Beauty, trading millions of pounds a year and living the sort of life that you associate with lottery winners. She is the perfect example of what you can achieve if you really want to. And that includes sports trading.

@martin Hi yes Ive traded on Martins site a few times. Very knowledgable guy. Just for anyones interest I almost exclusively trade (footie wise) on the first half goals market. It appeals to me in many ways and I have found that bey restricting myself to the most promising games, entering after 10 minutes or so, a consistent profit isnt hard to achieve. Now Im sure there are more eclectic systems around but this one works for me just fine. Im interested in diversifying into tennis tho so thats one reason Im here (plus Im also going to give a couple of Ryans strategies a go. Im not sure what his success rate is but he hes a jolly winning smile and a confident air - whats not to love?)

@dan-mackinnon He sounds like a man after my own heart Dave. Take the time to walk through some woods and listen to birdsongs. Before long that wont be possible the way things are going.
We have a sign outside of the house. It says "Don't beware of the dogs - they are the least of your problems"( I also have some scorpions and the odd praying mantis or 2. The mantises are allowed to roam free in my office . They sit mostly on the (obviously) carnivorous plants catching flies. My office is the man cave from hell (my wife's words)..

@dr-steve-buckwell well it appears I have the same defence as they do! Also, a note to self to stay away from the Canterbury area. I'm only joking, I have a mutual agreement with spiders that if they stay out of my way I stay out of theirs. Although I heard a spider trying to bite us would be like a human trying to bite a basketball? One of the engineers in our office tracks birds and has a similar opinion to yourself. I remember hearing a story that heaven is made up of the things you appreciated during your life. But that means you can't enjoy a walk in the woods if you don't take time to appreciate the different colour of the trees and their leaves, the sounds around you, the layered clouds in the sky, the various birds, insects and animals that are everywhere.

@martin Hi Martin . I lectured in what is now Huddersfield University. Its an amazing centre of scientific dynamism. Also lectured for a while in Hungary and spent some time at the University of western australia. My subject (in case anyone is interested) is using organic chemistry and fast software to find out how to creat antibiotics that bacteria cannot get immunity to.

@dan-mackinnon HI Dave , we are in Canterbury Kent. Sure, they escape all the time. Anything dangerous is under lock and key but most tarantuals get a very bad press. They are often pretty harmless, a bite is like a bee sting but their first line of defence is to run like the wind. They are beautiful and much maligned creatures and disappearing fast courtesy of this crazy age we live in. I sometimes think mankind was the worst thing ever to happen to planet earth. Hey but thats another discussion..

You breed tarantulas?! Where are you based? Have you ever had one escape?
