Hi Everyone, just a briefish intro. Im Dave, a football mad supporter. I'm based on Hayling Island, close to Portsmouth, UK.
I'm married to a lovely lady and for my sins, I co own AFC Wimbleon, have done since the start, as well as Following Portsmouth, Wimbledon because it was my original home town, Portsmouth because it is my current closest home town and Arsenal, who were and still are my 1st True football love.
However, I avoid trading on those teams,.Unless of coure a 'No Brainer Trade Pops Up'
I have been using Betfair pretty well, using a 'Lay The Loser Strategy' EG Watford played Liverpool recently, I backed Watford to NOT win, which they didn't and so I won £42. I did the same thing for Albania reently which won me £72 for the result and £3 on the oer 1.5 Goals market
But, having followed the BTC Guys now for a little while, they have been showing me that I am not maximising the trading section well enough, so I am here to learn from them and others and make my BF trading more profitable, because ultimately I want to become a Full Time, Sports/Footy Trader and believe it to be entirely possible

@Mark-Maguire Wow interesting story Mark. The boys are at Fratton Tomorrow as well

@dave-hayes Welcome Dave.. funnily enough when AFC were getting going at the club I was working we raised funds to buy one of your first kits, as a result I've still got a signed shirt somewhere. And we booed MKD (AKA Franchise) on your behalf every time we played them.

@Dan-MacKinnon Its not that I'm not fond of Palace, I actually went to games there when they had the likes of Swindlehurst, Cannon, Budgie Burridge and were managed by Terry Venables so that would have been 1976/1977. I started off going to Stamford Bridge with my dad in 1970, but then stopped going around 6 years later can't remember why.

@dave-hayes I always forget that some Wimbledon fans are not fond of Crystal Palace, then again I don't think any fan wants to ground share and made to feel like tenants. As Palace fan Kevin Day jokes about Wimbledon and Charlton "ungrateful guests"

I'm actually taking it easy on the trading until the new year. Got some other stuff that's taking priority right now.

@Dan-MacKinnon I haven't seen much of the Palace U21s at all, and with the covid restrcitions and also living on Hayling I haven't been to the (CRR) Plough lane Yet, went to the old plough lane from 1977, til 1991, the final home game, ironically against Place
I plan to go to the new ground at some stage.
How is your own trading going
-
@dave-hayes you must have seen a lot of the Crystal Palace U21s as we were in the Papa John's Trophy with both Portsmouth and AFC Wimbledon.
I went to Kingston Uni so saw a couple of AFC Wimbledon games back in the early days. Haven't been to the new (old) ground yet but should make a visit at some point.
