Hi everyone
So my name is Will and I’ve very recently signed up to BTC.
I first heard about this community through the podcasts on Spotify, and I love what I’ve seen of the members page so far (by the looks of it the stats software alone makes it worth the monthly sub in itself).
My interest in sports trading began last year during the first lockdown and I was on furlough for a few weeks. During this time it got me thinking about how can I make an additional income in case there would be a time I ever I lost my job due to unforeseen circumstances. So I started by looking at some footballing strategies (which I never really got round to seriously practicing), I also took up a horse race scalping course (which did seem quite well laid out to be fair). After the course I focused on the horses and did some scalping with live stakes, and also tried swing trading in which I got mixed results... my biggest problem with it was when the prices would quickly go against me I would let the red figure get bigger and hope my exit trade would eventually get taken, even taking my trades in-play... and as you can imagine I blew my bank a couple of times by doing this
if I’d of just taken the losses quicker I think by now would’ve had a bigger bank as I would have good profitable days.Recently I’ve been looking at football strategies again and placing some trades using strategies that I was looking at in the beginning (as football is my main sport), weirdly I feel I can be much more disciplined when it comes to cashing out when a trade looks to be going against me... I enjoyed scalping horses pre race but my discipline simply is not there when the prices move drastically in a quick space of time. This is something I aim to work on and improve, as I know good money can be made from it.
When I started listening to the podcasts it gave me a sense of relief as I suddenly realised that many of my flaws are actually quite common amongst other traders, and that providing I put the time and patience in, it will make me a more profitable trader going forward!
My aim is to just have a profit at the end of each month (however big or small) and build on my bank however long this takes (currently at £300). I feel that with the provided strategies and stats software/forum, this will be more than achievable.
As I say right now I’m just looking at football trading... but I would also like to subside this with horses (pre racing)... and then hopefully take on more sports with confidence.

@will you might then want to create a blog in the members blog section loads have done really well writing them up

@ryan I guess it's because it's the first time I've openly discussed my trading experience with a community
I've never really discussed my journey with it to anyone, I've told friends and family about what I'm doing, but not really told them how it's gone, they've not really asked either to be fair

Cheers guys! Feels strange yet good to share the experience I’ve had, love what I’ve come across already on this site, can’t wait to start using the football strategies once there are more games available

Hey buddy,
Great post to start you off as well, I love it when I see members new and old start writing out why they started, what they are doing it seems to really help us on the best way to help them but also the members on which was to go but the big hidden benefit is...
It gives them time to think, which we dont do so much anymore.
When you type and think your posts out you reflect and it leaves clues, great post to start and cannot wait to see what happens next.
