    Who you are?
    Shane

    Where you are from?
    Ireland

What stage are you at in your trading journey
I'm new to Trading, but I've been researching betting systems and trying and testing systems seriously in any bit of spare time I can get since Jan 2021.
The types of betting I've been doing until now has been mostly Basketball (mostly Under Points/Assists/Rebounds bets) but recently started getting big into Football (mostly 2HGs, or accas on over 0.5G/1.5G/2.5G).

    What's your background?
I'm an IT manager in a finance company, formerly a programmer and still a techie at heart...

Why did you join BTC? / What do you hope to get from the community?
I've tried a number of betting tipsters and systems down thru the years and triedand tested various systems... very, very few I found ended up actually being sustainable over a long term. Over the last year, I have been absorbing books and other material and doing my own research on various systems, modelling and staking methods.
BTC seems like its a "safe space" I can trust and learn/share experiences with/from like-minded members; see what trading and betting systems fellow members have that actually work, and be part of a genuine community where we can discuss systems rather be a customer to a "tipster" following one of their "systems" blind...

What are some of your trading goals?
To get deeper into stats tools, learn more about various systems that work for people, be part of a community... and of course to ultimately allow (even a small but successful) regular income stream!!!

    Cheers guys!
    Shane

Cheers @Martin ! Great to be here!

Re: the basketball, it was deffo more researching to find value betting than trading... Mostly European leagues where I could find good pre-match value on outrights or handicaps for the underdog, but also a lot of NBA player Under Points/Assists/Rebounds. The NBA ones worked out well for about 4 months, but then very odd and unpredictable things seemed to be happening during the play-off season. Re: in play trading on the Euro leagues - I couldn't give live trading a whole lot of time during the working day when holding down a demanding day job; and most of the NBA games only start at 1:30am or 2:30am... so it was mostly pre-match betting. (One thing I didn't like at all about Under betting is that its much harder to even enjoy the NBA games I did watch because everytime a player gets the ball you are hoping they do nothing, so it really detracts from the enjoyment of it...) So anyways I had a bad play-offs and got quite cynical about it so I widened my net, I had been looking into footie systens at that time anyway so started some deeper research more at that stage and looking to cut my teeth in trading... and so here I am! πŸ™‚ πŸ‘
