    Hi,

I've been playing around with trading for a little while after match betting and have come to the conclusion that trading is more interesting and challenging.

I have had some luck with Copa America and AFC Champions League by laying the draw simply on the basis of the odds, but fear this is not a viable long term strategy.

I am already blown away by the Stats and given my background in accountancy and business feel I have found a home.

One quick question regarding recording results. I have been using a simple spreadsheet to keep track of stake/odds/profit, but have seen a number of posts referencing 'points' and I am not entirely clear what this means and whether it is a better way of keeping on top of things?

    Cheers

    Kevin

Welcome to BTC Kevin. If numbers are your game then the Stats software and the Football ratings here on BTC will suit you perfectly.

People refer to 'points' as a way of tracking their bank.
Simply divide your bank by 100 and the result is 1 point.
    E.g. £500 bankroll, £5 would equal 1 point.

For some people it helps to remove emotion when the numbers get bigger, or tiny (in my case 🙂 ). It is just a simple way of always seeing the progress. Also removes a monetary amount for posting on the forum. Sometimes it could be seen as a little big headed if your trade gained you £1000's. I dont think that would arise here too much though as everyone here is fantastically helpful.

I would recommend engaging with people on the forum and asking questions whenever you need to, everyone will try to help if they can and there are no stupid questions.

Also read through some of the blogs etc on here there are some real gold nuggets of advice in them:

    Best of luck.

    Catch that Green!
