Great day of English football ahead! Here are my trading notes, you can find more info on them here: http://forum.betfairtradingcommunity.com/topic/214/martin-s-football-tradings-notes/104
Quite a few selections today, I won't go into huge depth on the analysis due to time constraints, so as ever, do your own research before you decide if you agree with me!
Huddersfield 2.56 v Stoke 3.3
Huddersfield have been good at home this season taking 14pts from 9 games, Stoke have been dire away from home taking 5pts from 9 games. Hudd have won 2 of their past 4 at home, the two losses were to Chelsea and Man City, hardly a disgrace by any means. Stoke have won 0 of their past 4 away games losing 3 and drawing 1. Stoke have won once away all season and for this reason I would have Huddersfield nearer evens here, around 2.1-2.2, so there is some value here in my opinion. I will back Hudd draw no bet if they look ok at the start of the match. I would also lay Stoke a goal up if the goal is against the run of play.
Nottingham Forest 2.4 v Sheff Wed 3.2
Forest have an impressive 21pts from 11 home games, Wednesday have only 10pts from their 11 away games. Wed have just parted company with their manager and although their is a danger of a bounce back; their form is on a serious downtrend since thier last win at Villa 8 games ago. I think Forest should be around 2.1 here and so there is value, I will back them draw no bet if they start well or lay Sheff Wed if they take the lead against the run of play.
Ipswich Town 2.44 v QPR 3.25
Ipswich have 22pts from 11 home games this season (winning 3 of their last 4), QPR have 7pts from 11 away games winning only one match (last time out vs Birmingham). I don't really get these odds, I would have Ipswich at 2.0 at best here, they just get such little respect from the market it seems. I will back Ipswich draw no bet if they start well or lay Birmingham if they take the lead against the run of play.
Cardiff 2.32 v Fulham 3.4
Cardiff have the best points to games ratio at home in the Championship this season averaging 2.45pts a game, dropping only 6pts in 11 games. Fulham are a decent away team with 14pts from their 11 games. Cardiff have won their last 4 home games, Fulham have lost 3 of the last 4 winning once. I will take the side who has not lost at home this season, they should be 2.0 at best in my opinion. I will back Cardiff draw no bet if they start well or lay Fulham if they take the lead against the run of play.
