@ryan
One thing I noticed in casinos is that if everyone left when they were ahead a small amount, the profits would be a hell of a lot less.
So i guess, don't play(trade in this case) for the sake of it is something I should be wary of. Along with not letting trades run trying to squeeze a little bit more profit, especially as I'm only starting out.It is very hard to take much from the levels of play I used to see as a lot of players would do more than my salary was at the time in one spin/hand.
In that regard, you stop seeing it as money to some degree I guess.

HI everyone, just a quick intro from myself.
Who you are? Shaun Sykes
Where you are from? Originally from the NE of England, but lived all over England and am currently pretty much nomadic, going where I like, when I like.
What stage are you at in your trading journey Just left the starting blocks!
What's your background? I worked in very high end Mayfair casinos for over 20 years and took redundancy during the lockdown.
Why did you join BTC? I have watched a fair few of Ryans vids recently and liked his style. Mainly though, I wanted access to the stats
What do you hope to get from the community? Guidance, knowledge and the comfort of knowing there are others at various points of the journey I am on.
What are some of your trading goals? Long term goal is financial independence, short term is to build a profitable strategy or two on my own.
I like how you tried to butter me up first my telling me you liked my style but actually you are just here for the stats
Interesting about the high end casinos, what from that world did you pick up on? I'm fascinated on how that life can help you in this trading one.

Essentially a mix of both. I have been trying (paper trading and some Β£1 stakes).
Strategy 1: Women's Tennis games -
Getting in before the game on the favourite, laying them and scalping the price during/after 1st set.Second strategy: Laying First Set Winner.
I like the idea of quick wins on tennis and would be my preferred method.
-
@andrew-findlater I'd firstly say is that how you want to trade? One of the things I always do with new and beginner traders is this try and get to a point where they are trading what they want and that works for them.
If you want to scalp then great if not lets find something that works for you.
Are you talking scalping points on serve or before the match?
-
@ryan I didn't think I had many questions? Well ones I wanted to ask before reading through the forums and the emails you send but I do have one. I have tried a bit of tennis scalping recently and have failed miserably but I really want to at least understand it. Is there any (easy to understand) info on here? I know you have a good video yourself around laying the first set winner but I am looking at in okay quick scalps. I have been told it's a good 2ay to learn for beginners.
Thanks

Hi Iβm andy 40 from the midlands. Just joined the community. I have been betting mainly on football but most things for 20+ years and Iosing mainly. Definitely on the whole. About 6 months ago I decided to distance myself from it all so reduced all my deposit limits etc and stepped away for some time out. In the past I had tried trading and am familar with Betfair. I think my problem always was cause I was still betting along side it one would always lose focus on trading due to betting loses. Iβm now in a better position to relax and just purely trade only. I donβt have any real knowage of the trading softwares available and so will need to learn these as sounds great way to do it. Been listening to the podcasts and decided this community was the one to start my new future and journey with and help me achieve something I hope is possible.
Thanks in advance for all your help. Andy -
