Hi Iāve just joined btc.
Iām new to trading but have spent 2 reasonably successful years matched betting but have got to the point when the bookies donāt want to play with me anymore.
Iām originally from stoke on Trent but now live in Malaga Spain.
Iām going to spend the next few days looking through the posts and info on here. Then start to give it a try.Thanks

Hi Michael, welcome, itās great to have another person representing Essex! Iām only 20 miles up the road from you!
You mention not being a great talker when not face to face, trust me this is a great community and after a couple of weeks youāll find it difficult not to interact with everyone on the forum. Thereās so much good stuff and advice going on (with a bit of banter thrown in).

Just right! I prefer Judaism anyway, so the political aspect of Northern Ireland doesn't really concern me.

I used to do a bit of pre-match scalping with moderate success several years ago but didnāt really have any method or rules so Iād like to improve my knowledge and discipline in this area as well as branching out into other trading strategies, mainly football. Itās very much a hobby for me rather than anything more serious.
Whats your background? Accountant, and sadly one of the things I enjoy about trading is tracking things on spreadsheets and analysing the results
Why did you join BTC? Having seen the quality of some of the terrible trading āadviceā available free via a google search and having listened to excellent the BTC podcasts for some time I thought Iād give it a whirl.
What do you hope to get from the community? Learn from people who actually know what theyāre doing and hopefully one day give something back
What are some of your trading goals? My current goal is simply to learn as much as I can without losing money, so break even is fine. Iām even happy to lose a bit if it means I am learning what not to do next time. Welcome to the group matey, I think we will be able to help you with that. Lay the draw is still one of the most profitable strategies in my opinion - especially backed up with stats - with the stats we have you can save games that have been 0-0 at HT and have high % chance of second half goals.
