- Why did i Join and what do i hope to get from the community l- Heard the podcasts - like what i heard, and hoping to be part of community of people willing to share their experiences.Confidence that trading can be something which is profitable and fun at the same time. Hoping to read how people's journeys, how people make trading work for them on what ever scale, and how people tackle the most difficult aspect of trading "the mind"
Trading Goals - Stop being emotional and blowing my bank

@darri Hi Darri welcome to the community, i'm also in Aberdeen! If you ever want to grab a coffee and chat trading give me a shout
-
Who are you? Darri
Where are you from? Aberdeen
What stage are you at in your trading journey? Trading part time around studies, scalping pre event on markets and hoping joining the community will help my in play trading
Whats your background? Started betting on football, golf and horses, transitioned into laying and now trying to get to grips with trading as find it more satisfying when there is a small bit of logic behind it
Why did you join BTC? I have a big lack of discipline in the markets and thought after watching the videos of ryans routine that joining a community with like minded traders would keep me more grounded with a more professional mindset
What do you hope to get from the community? To interact with like minded traders as its a very niche subject talking to anyone who hasnt traded before. To learn and develop ideas and share experiences of trading
What are some of your trading goals? To be able to watch sport full time and make profit at same time sounds good to me

\ Paul
\ Co. Durham
\ I joined BTC 1 week ago,
\ I have used betfair from the start, mainly gambling, betting/laying horses/football, and like most others with no game plan, although a few years back I did study front runners and when to lay them, and had a good run , I came to a halt when I broke the rules of bankroll managment.
\ Plasterer for 45 years, now semi retired. Poker player from before the online boom, gave me a head start when the online masses arrived into the game, and for the first 5 years made a very good side income, the game changed and the next 10 years I was a break even player, and the last couple of years, I have been a losing player, what changed? the players and the game changed, now the AVERAGE decent poker player has a good education and some kind of maths background, these are an essental part of the tools needed to get you to the next level imo,
the amount of different software, time and study I have put into poker is second to none, but the modern game study needs to be at a different level, which I just cannot do.
\ I joined BTC, because I enjoy the challenge, I believe with the software and knowlege and help from members, the different stat sites, the Xg sites, and info for study thats out there I could become a winning player, although I would be happy to break even, I like nothing more than studying form and getting stuck into software until I get it right, its my kind of thing .
\ I hopefully hope to get help from the community if needed, and once I learn the ropes I would be the first to help others.
\ My goal is to enjoy the challenge, I realise from life experience the more you put in. hopefully the more you get out -
@martin-futter Yes, for reporting on his hidden money in Luxembourg after Panama gate.
-
@frode-lia he sued you?
-
@martin-futter He sued me in 2015. But but. He will probably go for a 4-3-3 formation with attacking wingers. The play will be build up around Pogba. He will probably favor the defenders that is best with the ball (and worst to defend).
-
@frode-lia any inside track on him?

Been a member for a wee while now but never filled one of these out so since it's a quiet day.......
Who are you? Simon Muir
Where are you from? The Granite City (Aberdeen)
What stage are you at in your trading journey? I'd class myself as a novice, been a member of BTC for 9 months and the progress I've made from total newbie to novice wouldn't have happened otherwise.
What's your background? Numbers! I have a degree in Quantity Surveying and have worked in the oil industry for 12 years. As for betting, I did a small bit of matched betting but found it very tedious, and moved quickly on to advantage play, and now into trading as I want a sustainable income not reliant on keeping bookie accounts, plus i find trading a lot more rewarding!
Why did you join BTC? I was fumbling around trying various systems totally blind, I wanted to join a community where I could learn how to trade properly, and the attraction of having such easy access to professional traders and able to ask them questions and get responses was the main draw for me. I didn't realise how little I knew before joining here until I now look back.
What do you hope to get from the community? To learn from others through success and failure, and share ideas I have and get other peoples input into them. Also somewhere to talk to like minded people as my friends or family are likely to call the police if i mention laying horses.
What are some of your trading goals? i'd like to earn enough from betfair trading to work part time, and eventually one day, make enough to quit my job and be able to spend more time with my family.
