Who are you? Chris Saville
Where are you from? Bradford
What stage are you at in your trading journey? Complete nooby, not placed a single trade yet just been doing research, watching videos, reading books, watching odds during games looking at potential places to trade when I think a game is going to turn a certain way etc.
What's your background? Been matched betting for around two years, still do a bit of it but been gubbed on most accounts now and have been thinking of making the plunge into trading for a while. From my experience of matched betting on horses I felt like I was quite good at reading odds movements and very often scalped money by monitoring the odds changes.
Why did you join BTC? I think it was Can Berry who first made me aware of BTC although I can't remember exactly, it was a couple of months ago I first heard of it so have now decided to take the plunge after deciding this is really what I want to do.
What do you hope to get from the community? I want to learn learn learn, every single person on here will know more than me in most aspects of trading so what better place to learn from really.
What are some of your trading goals? The dream goal is to become a full time trader, however I know this will take a lot of work, patience and ability to adapt and learn. This is really what I want to do for a living, 34 years old and I'm doing a job I don't really enjoy and have zero passion about still, I even went part time a few years back as I couldn't do with a full week of it. So being able to trade full time and then have the potential to move to another country and do it there would be the ultimate. Definitely feel like I am ready to throw myself 100% at it as I have no other commitments in my life at the moment either.

Who are you? James Oldfield
Where are you from? Essex
What stage are you at in your trading journey? Trading in spare time, learning as much as i can
What's your background? own a contract flooring company,Why did you join BTC? to learn as much as i can from the traders in BTC
What do you hope to get from the community? To learn from as much as possible and for a little bit of advice here and there
What are some of your trading goals?Sounds crazy but main thing is to only trade when i have done my homework, i am guilty of sometimes rushing into trades because of having a lack of time to check everything out properly. i am massively guilty of this as running my own business i am always busy and there is always something to do. this basically causes me to grab at trades.....frustrating!!!!
Welcome mate
I have a time problem with 3 young kids, but I've managed to create a bit more with the support of my wife. Want to go part time eventually but got a long road ahead. Evenings for me is great time as she's usually watching soaps and the kids are in bed!
Try to focus on one strategy, master it and move on from there. I really should listen to my own advice as I've got about 4 things on the go!

@james-everard chasing the death of many a great trader take a second to think of those we have lost
-
HI Alex, welcome aboard you sound very similar to me blown large banks after building up nicely and like you say red mist descends and try to retrieve a losing trade and making it worse. Mentality is the biggest hurdle getting there slowly trying to learn from the much more experienced traders on here and not to chase loses!
-
@alex-h great to have you here buddy, sounds like you’ve had some
Good success in the past - hopefully he’ll you achieve some more going forward! -
Who you are?
Alex HWhere you are from?
Westhoughton (nr Bolton)What stage are you at in your trading journey?
Still an amateur trader after 3 years. Grown banks from scratch to £7k and scratch to £5k (twice) and blown them both!!! Mentality a big issue especially as I am a conservative trader. Problem comes from chasing losses when red mist descends and mind turns to mush. Trade mainly football (in-play) but also dabble cricket. Want to master the gee-gees moving forwardWhat's your background? Healthcare for 20 years but 7 years as a betting shop manager (Ladbrokes) straight from Uni.

Who you are? Lee
Where you are from? Near Preston, Lancs
What stage are you at in your trading journey? Traded a couple of years ago but with no structure, no mentality, no bankroll management. Developed ‘fuckarounditis’ and trading didn’t last for me (also for personal reasons). Didn’t do anything with it for 18 months and then 5 months ago I started again with a much improved mindset and mentality. Set a target of 10 PTS per month and I’ve hit it each month so far
What's your background? I worked the 9-5’s now I do matched betting full time for the last 3-4 years
Why did you join BTC? I was a member a couple of years ago and always like the members and the guys who run it
What do you hope to get from the community? Bounce ideas around and pick up strategies and ideas
What are some of your trading goals? Hopefully trade full time. I want to continue to develop some solid strategies, lots of discipline and knowledge. I’ve got some decent thinking in certain aspects but bad habits in other
