Hi All, just thought I would inroduce myself.
Who you are? – Leon
Where you are from? – Liverpool (The blue side though, I support Everton)
What stage are you at in your trading journey – I'm still at the early stages, I've used Betfair for over 10 years, mainly for gambling most recently BTTS betting but I always dipped in and out of laying and even trading but with no real game plan.
What's your background? – Accountancy
Why did you join BTC? – I would like to learn various trading techniques and decided to start testing the detailed football statistics to hopefully give me an edge.
What do you hope to get from the community? – I'm interested in what techniques other traders are using and how they interpret the statistics to make a profit. It will be nice to discuss how other members approach trades and learn as much as I can from them.
What are some of your trading goals? – I would love to do this as my main source of income but I know I'm still at the early stages of learning so my initial target will be £20-£50 profit per football match I trade. I'm also looking to learn scalping. I'm currently testing Geeks toy software so to become fluent with that would be great.

What's your background?
-10 years in IT providing consultancy to call centres in the UK and Europe. I also own a serviced accommodation business in MK -

- Tried correct score trading years ago but with no real knowledge and as you can guest i lost money. Now back taking it serious for the last 2 months.
- I was training to be an accountant but during the training i had kids and went through a break up and was made redundant. So went to be a postman which i loved and still do and kind of lost interest with the accounting world.
- I joined btc because it seemed the best product out there with the stats software etc.
- I have already taken in so much information from the forum etc it has already changed the way I thought about trading. All for the good.
- Trading Goals: I come from a matched betting background and have done really well from it and still do but losing most of my accounts have been a real problem. If i can earn up to £100 per week from trading football I would be on cloud 9. I would also like to look at the horses and tennis but really want to crack this football trading first. Any help at all will be much appreciated. I currently have 2 over 2.5 goals filters that I am testing. And am also testing keiths LTD at half time which is going quite well.

Good idea this thread as I never did this when I first joined.
Who you are? – David
Where you are from? – Liverpool but now live in London
What stage are you at in your trading journey – I joined BTC around a year ago with no previous experience, mainly trading football and utilising the stats software. Not at a point where I am consistently making money but I’m not losing either and definitely feel like I am learning.
What's your background? – moved to London after uni and qualified as a chartered surveyor working in commercial property management. Liverpool fan and still have season tickets so venture back up for as many games as I can and to see the family.
Why did you join BTC? – I was initially drawn to the stats software which seemed far more comprehensive and intuitive than others I had tried, particularly the ability to setup and save your own filters. I didn’t really get into the facebook group and was delighted when it moved over to this forum as I find it a lot easier to follow and far more structured.
What do you hope to get from the community? – to effectively learn a skill that will hopefully allow me to make a bit of extra money watching and researching sports I already enjoy. To learn from others and share anything that may be of value if and when I get there!
What are some of your trading goals? – I would love to get to a point where I am making a decent second income. I use Bet Angel pro and try to use automation where I can but I’m not knowledgeable enough to set up anything particularly complex. Still dive into trades when I know I shouldn’t so that needs to be eradicated quickly!
