Hello @james
Welcome to group, it will be great having you around the place.
If you need anything let me know

Hi to all the BTC members! My name is James and I signed up a couple of months ago and thought it is about time to become a bit more active now I have sort of figured out how the site works.
- James (prefer Jimmy but not fussed either way)
- I reside in Australia in a small town just outside Melbourne
- I tried my hand at trading 3-4 years ago but basically ended up doing what a lot of people do which is chase. Definitely still a novice.
- I am a self employed electrician by trade and my punting background has always been on horses. I have always been a football enthusiast though so am looking to try my hand here instead.
- I joined BTC as trading has always interested me because by nature I am happier accruing smaller (and importantly) consistent profits and compounding a bank. I definitely am lacking in several areas and I hope being a member can help with that.
- From the community I am hoping to get help with the processes in selecting and implementing strategies. I still feel all over the shop nailing down and implementing processes.
- My trading goal long term (like most of us) would be to earn a consistent living from trading. In the short term my trading goal is not to make millions but to try and figure out how to consistently make the correct decisions pre match and in game.
My other trading goal is to try find a couple of systems I can automate as due to the time difference I miss most of the early afternoon (European) games.
Well happy to be here and onwards and upwards!

- I am Lefteris Exakoustidis (or Lefty as they used to call me when I was working at Ladbrokes, Malvern Link )
*Now back to my home country again (Greece) and although I ve been an Accountant for approximately 15 years I like whatever has to do with sports. I used to gamble a lot in the past.
Now I have created a "serious" bankroll, at least for a start and I am in between of starting
Surebetting and sports trading.I found your site very interesting and informative and that's why I subscribed for 24 hours firstly
and then for one month to have a broader understanding of sports trading (I am totally new) - I am Lefteris Exakoustidis (or Lefty as they used to call me when I was working at Ladbrokes, Malvern Link )

Great to see you here Craig, you seem like a good laugh! I'm learning from scratch too, good luck with it all.

@ryan-carruthers
Who you are?
Craig Mull
Where you are from?
An inbred town in the North West
What stage are you at in your trading journey?
The absolute beginning with football. I have done pre race horses with no success and i also wasn't enjoying the process.
What's your background?
Electronics. Also, i have been match betting for over 18 months
Why did you join BTC?
I had previously done some football research and i wasn't getting the information i needed. I joined last week and ended up signing for the annual package within days. I love it! I fell out of love with football but i actually enjoying watching some really obscure teams around the world now.
What do you hope to get from the community?
Support, information and banter. I suppose i will be at the brunt of it (Bolton fan)
What are some of your trading goals?
Just learning the basics for now , build confidence and be comfortable with my decisions. -
@marton-tompos Welcome to the group!

Hey guys,
Who you are?
MartonWhere you are from?
Budapest, HungaryWhat stage are you at in your trading journey?
Pretty much at the beginning. Watched a few videos from Ben at Sports Trading Life, then found BTC. Tried the 24-hrs access for the stats software - it worked, so here I amWhat's your background?
History and international affairs. Why did you join BTC?
I got interested after watching Martin's video on the 3/3.3 overall goals strategy, so I tried the software. It was convincing, but 24 hours is not enough. What do you hope to get from the community?
I'm interested in the statistical and psychological part of trading, like how U2.5 drops rapidly if the home favourite doesn't score early. What are some of your trading goals?
I'd be happy to learn and master 5-6 strategies I can rotate and use. -
Who are you? David Edwards
Where are you from? Essex..... Born, bred and still live.
What stage are you at in your trading journey? I have been doing this for about 4 or 5 months now. Mainly football and dabble in the horses very occasionally.
What's your background? Healthcare
Why did you join BTC? I want to be part of a community where no question is a stupid question. Sounds a bit strange but sometimes these groups do have those personalities that put themselves above everyone else.
What do you hope to get from the community? Following on from last question, I would like to get a better understanding of the whole process of trading from top to bottom, I imagine it will never happen as we never stop learning but I would settle for knowledge and advice to make me more consistent
What are some of your trading goals? Consistency, confidence and gradual bank building. Ideally I would like this to be self funding and give me some extra income. I don't need a ferrari, mansion or anything like that!
I hope to participate as much as possible but working times restrict me to evenings mostly, but it's part of my trading plan!
Good luck everyone!

@dave-jessop Cheers Dave. Was kinda hoping the lunacy wasn't showing at this stage. Thanks for the welcome.
-
@ryan-carruthers Thanks Ryan I'm glad too. Got alot of videos to watch.
-
@richard-fieldhouse great to have you here, you are correct that we emphasise community here.
A lot of others are not about that, but a community is where it all starts and where BTC started. Communities allow you to get better and I am glad you are part of this one my friend.

Thank you for the welcome Alan,
Yes I started writing down odds changes through a few games on the under 2.5 so it feels more familiar at this point. Had pretty consistent green, only £2 stakes, until I decided to up the stakes.
Thanks for the advice I will check that filter out once I work through how to use the software.
Best of luck.

@richard-fieldhouse Welcome to BTC, you're in a good place with lots of help at your finger tips. If you like doing the under 2.5 goal market check out Martin Futters "Unders Galore" filter... I haven't seriously traded it so can't vouch for its profitability.
There are plenty of other members filters available to you as well.
Piece of advice... Pick one you like the look of and paper trade it for a few games and see how you get on, if you fancy trading it, start as soon as there's a losing one and hopefully you'll start with plenty of green.
Best of luck!

Hello All,
My name is Richard. I have just joined the community. Five minutes ago.
I currently live in Rugby but am from the North West originally. What stage in my trading journey am I? Hmm the losing stage! Come from matched betting. Been attempting to trade for 1 month approx. Watching too many videos on youtube and attempting every one with bad results haha.
Currently undertaking a OU degree computing. The reason I joined? I would like to do this professionally, I imagine alot of people do. Always wanted to work from home.
I joined BTC specifically because of a video, again on youtube I was watching at dinner break today.
Top 5 Mistakes Betfair Traders with Small Bankrolls Make
By Martin Futter
I was impressed by the way he was describing the sense of community and the help offered here at BTC. Felt that that was what I needed and other sites had not emphasized this.
I hope to soak up as much knowledge as humanly possible, become profitable, improve my bank roll and in turn help others who join after me.
Trading goals, think i have mentioned these above.I do not watch sport for fun. Never have. I do understand football and have mostly been concentrating on that. Some of the fun with football so far have included-
Backing under 2.5 with £2 bets, making pennies! £50 goes on Boom! Goal!Correct score market 0-0 60th minute, 1 strike on target. Backed everything up to 2-2. Come back full time 2-3!
Everytime I have tried trading horses have been a disaster. Don't know what to look for. Big brown animals with small fellas in silks on them.
Anyway, hope you all have a profitable week, good luck.
Richard
