Hello, I'm Frank and I'm 53 and I work (when work is available) as a Mechanical Engineer specialising in rotating equipment, usually in the Oil & Gas industry.
I've lived in Basingstoke since 2012 but am originally from Lancashire.
One of the things I most love to do in my spare time is watch sport - particularly football (Liverpool fan).
I love the idea of being able to make some money out of watching football (and other sports) - something I enjoy doing anyway! I started trading around the middle of 2016 - I bought Tony Langley's Football Hedging System (very expensive) and while this did give me a lot of strategies to follow, it also taught me some questionable recovery systems that I sometimes have a hard time resisting! (The trouble with them is that they get VERY expensive when they don't work!). I probably stuck with the FH systems for a bit too long, but for the last year or so, I've been looking at other strategies and systems and have become very good at breaking even with the odd big loss thrown in (normally when I try to trade horses pre-race).
Why did I sign up with BTC? Well, I took part in Ryan's 5 day challenge and saw how powerful the BTC stats filter can be - I see that can save me 1-2 hours every time I trade! Plus I get access to another take on the well known strategies and some ready-made filters to try! I can also see that this is a great place to seek advice and find out what's missing from my trading and record keeping (already picked up a few good points from Ryan).
As for some goals, I would ultimately like to do this full time and make £5k plus per month, but my first target is to be consistently profitable, month on month - at least making £36 per month to pay for the subscription charge!!I think that's it - I'm looking forward to getting to know everybody and hopefully be able to share some of the things that I've picked up along the way!
