    Hi Everyone,
    I'm Fi form North Yorkshire. I have been aware of Betfair Trading and Matched Betting for a long time but never put any time into learning more about either. Becoming increasingly concerned about my job security I decided back in August to start seriously looking to establish a flexible, work from home second income and matched betting seemed a good starting point.

    I have taken a pretty steady approach to matched betting which is going well & after watching a lot of videos on trading and trying a little for very small stakes I am now looking to start trading along side the matched betting to bring my activity up to the next level & really start to build that safety net of a second income that will boost my savings and provide me with a means to keep going while job hunting if the worst happens with my current employment.

    My first thoughts on which sports to trade are horse racing as there is so much of it and football as the evening / weekend scheduling of the European matches is perfect to fit round a full time job and some volunteer work on a Saturday morning. I have been trying to do some research on football myself on sites like Soccerstats and infogol, but I can see that to do it properly & build a database will take many hours, so it makes sense to me to invest in a site like this, so I can spend my time actually learning and trading rather than trawling through stats

    I look forward to getting to know you all and learning more about trading.

    @fiona-watson That is a very level headed response! That is great 🙂

    On the building of your own filters and stats this thread might help there is some training on there too - https://forum.betfairtradingcommunity.com/topic/1926/stats-software-members-challenge-july-2020/321

    If you get stuck with anything just reach out! 😄

    Thanks for the welcome @Martin-Futter and @Ryan-Carruthers .
    My targets are over the next week to 10 days I want to get a thorough understanding of the strategies, site navigation, how to build my own filters and how to find the profitable members filters, then by the end of 30 days I want to feel really confident using the proven strategies for minimum stakes.
    To me that is the ground work to put in so I can then progress onto a using stakes more inline with a 1% to 2% of bank risk level and pick up the pace on building up my betting bank.

    @fiona-watson welcome!

    football and horses are a good idea, maybe pick one to start with just to not overload yourself early on.

    any questions just ask 🙂
