    Who you are?
    Pedro Jacob

    Where you are from?
    Mexico City

What stage are you at in your trading journey?
-----I quit my 9-5 job, and jumped with a few months saving$ parachute to tradeFullTime; after 3 years studing and monitor my activity on a 20USD bankRoll(testing). I knew if I grow a 20Usd bank, I can handle a 5000USD and do the same, same rules, just different figures.
----- I realize on my journey in 2018, that "the key"(for me) is selfKnowledge, and, hearing many Pros share it, made me feel on those days that i was on the right path. So, my effort last year(2019) was monitor my emotions(literally on a journal) on every trade.
-----Im more a liveStream trader. For me trading is 20%stats and 80%emotional; even if a trade is green at the end, or red, if im not comfortable with my initial decision, is a badTrade. If im feeling bad, I close my position in the market and see why feel that way; and sometimes I reOpen my position again with the right mindSet or not. Need to know myself, respect myself and my rules; and that is the hardest part of trading.
-----Few months ago, im seeing what i can do on automation.

    What's your background?
    -----SocialPsychology and IT

    Why did you join BTC?
----Nobody knows that I trade, they wouldnt get it. I never tried to share, or worst, explain to anybody; cause i know the posible result, is worthless. Is like having a superPower and living alone on a secret doubleLife.

What do you hope to get from the community?
-----After a week, is not only hope; im getting a warmed place with incredible commited people; everyone on its on way. FullTime, partTime traders; everybody makes me feel calm and safe, without having a particular interaction. Is just been there, seeing its work and their effort. Its all about share and grow togheter. Thank you guys.
Ah, and having Ryan, Martin and Adam present, is priceless. That makes a huge difference. They are real, they live for this(BTC and Trading). Is not just a bussines, I can feel and see that; it means a lot.

What are some of your trading goals?
-----For trading goals, I could spend many pages on strats and automation and ideas. Its a long way ahead.
----And "with trading": Trading is closer to my idea to"freedom"; I usually lived here and there as an IT guy, but sometimes is not posible. And with trading, I will be able to live anywhere. And that, put a spark on my eyes. Love to trade(the activity itself), love watching football, my time and my freedom. What else can I ask to life?

    Hello @pedro-lerma

Amazing to have you here, I cannot wait to get to know you a little better too 😄

I love how you said trading is 80% emotion totally right, what made you come to that realisation?

@pedro-lerma great stuff, Betfair seems to be great to use in South America. I remember trading in Chile and Argentina a few years ago no issues at all! However, Europe is a nightmare

    thanks @Martin-Futter

In fact, i saw tradingLadders at Cancun for the first time on a britishGuy laptop, and it catch me immediately; cause i saw him trading on our Hostal every morning; and thats when trading to me arrived. I lived at the RivieraMaya for 2 years.

Im doing what i "learned" best i can, just, this time without any other income, and thats a change.

Im a newbie trader, living as if I could be Pro. Hope I will get that completely. Scares sometimes, but i NEVER want to return at a "regular job", and that gives me strength.

Ill catch you later on threads. Congrats and thank you all BTC community. Im learning from all.

    @pedro-lerma welcome!

Been to Mexico a couple of times, once to Tijuana (for a day trip as a kid) and once to Cancun (for my honeymoon). Love the place!

Thanks for the kind words and I totally get the needing a sense of community in trading, it's a lonely career when the people in your life don't get it (which even in my life probably 95% of the people don't understand it!).

Sounds like you are doing really well and on the right path! If you have any questions just ask, other than that look forward to speaking to you on the threads 🙂
