Hello all.
My name is Gordy.
Just joined up today after checking things out for about a month. Been matched betting since August while on furlough after thinking how do people make money online? Became interested in trading after watching a video on lay the draw. So matched betting made me my bankroll for trading. Nice.I am from Livingston near Edinburgh.
I am a complete beginner with trading.
I have experience with betfair and smarkets through matched betting.
I joined BTC because
- I want to learn this skill properly.
- BTC comes across great with good software and gives the impression of a
local community.
I hope to be involved with other like minded people and become a successful trader through time. I would like to learn as much as I can. Maybe one day I may be able to help others.
My main goal is to become a full time trader. I have set myself a target of five years to achieve this. I am content to start small and build up my bankroll in a measured fashion and just as importantly I want to enjoy myself doing it.I have tried second half lay the draw about 3 weeks ago 8 times over a weekend with £3 stakes and won 7 trades! Thats without knowing what I was doing! I certainly wont be trying that stunt again now that Ive checked things out more.
I have never been a gambler in my life so this is well out of my comfort zone, but hopefully before long I will settle into trading well.

Just as well, I've made a couple of blunders which is down to being new. -
Welcome Gordy, it sounds like I've got a similar background to you as in never put a bet on in my life until a few months ago when I tried out matched betting. I been on here for a couple of months and every day is a learning experience, there's a lot of helpful people on here that you can learn a lot from.

Hearts from when I was 7 in 1971 but when I moved to Livingston as an adult and the club moved here in 1995 I started going to the games in the 3rd division never imagining that my 2 scottish teams would one day be up against each other the same division. Love them both. my English team is Liverpool from 1974
