As far as trading is concerned I am still a newbie, I have come from matched betting and really started using Betfair for 'trading' last summer when I got mass gubbed on pretty much all the major bookies after using Mike Cruikshanks automated Eachway Sniper software
Ahh well, now at least I can potentially make more profit through trading. I have had some good days but mostly break even and loss days, but I must admit it's much more fun than matched betting and I am enjoying learning the skills needed - even if the trade goes pear shaped! The recent Covid situation put a dampner on the whole thing, but without that I would never have stumbled upon Ryan's videos!I am in my 50's now, most of my working life has been spent in Software / Systems design - very dull. I had my own company up until the leave the EU vote - as most of our business was EU based, we basically folded overnight. So I went to work for a well known online shopping giant and now make sure little orange robots keep working on night shift - which is ace!
I joined BTC mainly after watching Ryan's videos over the last couple of months, I have not been 'locked down' as we have been working more hours than normal, but I watched them on my break at night as 'trading reasearch' and as my mind is very data structured he made a lot of sense. BTC sounded like a good place to come to - as on my own I have been bouncing about a bit and as I say, not too profitable. So here I am.
What do you hope to get from the community? I hope to learn from those that 'do'. Being around people who are sucessful, observing, listening and questiong them is a good place to learn and grow. I think that this sounds like a place to do this.
My goals in trading are fairly realistic, as I work nights I only really have two days a week - Friday and Saturday - where I can live trade so I just want to make them profitable
I'm not expecting milliions, just a small percentage growth of my meagre bank will be fine. I am also looking at honing my automation to take advantage of events that I am unable to live trade.That about sums it up. Let the joutney begin

Cheers all, I am taking it slowly, just going through the videos at the moment and following the trades suggested via the email on paper - well in Bet Angel practice mode .. did quite well with the 0.5 goals suggestions yeaterday on paper so thats good! There is a lot to get used to, despite my time spent in software industry I am not too hot on social media / forum type things so working my way round these is a slow process LOL. First imprssions though, I think this community loooks like the place to be, so I am quite hopeful for the future.
