@darri Whats the golf betting one? I've been listening to a lot of golf podcasts recently, wonder if I have covered it as I am listening to The Perfect Number Podcast, Golf Science Lab, On the Mark. I am a little hooked on golf though!
Martin and I started to do one for YouTube, I think we should bring it back!
-
@ryan-carruthers since i dont listen to commentary for football, when im trading i like to pop on some podcasts and youtube of them. Pat Mayo experience is cringy to watch but a decent listen, he is useless but his guests do tend to be good with stats. he has 2 shows one with a stats and course preview and then he has a picks show. Tour junkies is my favourite. They are a bit less nonsense but same sort of format. From there i always seem to just click on other videos, golf betting system podcast which is UK based is pretty good listen. But thats just golf iv seen draft kings post loads on NFL in recents weeks. The sweat is also good, it fees like a more professional show, they do all sports.
-
@darri yep matey?
-
@ryan-carruthers for draft kings?
-
@darri which are the betting shows you like watching?
-
@ryan-carruthers draft kings fascinates me with how much detail you can go into, im definitely way too casual with it. I rate watching the draft kings shows tho, americans are amazing at betting shows and it just shows how much betfair trading would take off if americans got on board
-
@darri I think potentially, its all about perceived value. I have spent some time thinking about draft kings and strangely enough a contact at BF rang me because he moved to draft kings and explained that some of the draft kings big boys have basically created a value model. Where they work out how much a player per point is worth based on stats and then what's needed to win a comp and then build the teams around this set up.
-
@ryan-carruthers I play draft kings too, iv never really traded golf before, but i would assume a lot of same criteria in picks would come into trading?
-
@josh-shaw I only mess around with it for a bit of fun, I also do draft kings as well. But I am thinking with the sheer amount of data out there it could be really good and easy to create a scoring system for trading these - as if we find players priced 20.0 or above who make the top 10 after the cut we could have some seriously nice greens.
-
My picks for the open, will trade the bigger priced picks if they shorten.
£3 Rory Mcllroy @10.5 Is quite short but more insurance as he has course record
£2 John Rahm @18 good form and style suits links
£2 Adam Scott @36 was a toss up between him a Jason Day
£2 Jordan Spieth @44 has in the past been in stinking form but manages to claw back strokes gained at links golf courses
£2 Eddie Pepperell @110 just an outside fancy
