I have made a video showing how to live trade using the pre-match selections but also the live stats, with small stakes and not taking any big risks, watch it here:

@martin-futter said in Live Betfair Trading Video from today:

@mbtrader79 no hard and fast rules but rough guidelines, I want 6+ shots on target 7+ ideally with a few off target too by HT. At 30 mins 4 shots on target for unders would be a big redflag. I like a 66% dangerous attack to normal attack ratio (willing to overlook this if the other factors are very strong).

Thanks mate and also @Ryan-Carruthers. I'll take note of this

@mbtrader79 one of the things I like to do is check the attack stats on the btc stats and compare it on the per goal then I compare that to the in play.

Red zone is the best way to watch nfl!

Thanks @Martin-Futter I really enjoyed that

Do you or any of the other experienced guys have a threshold for how shots on/off target, attacks/dangerous attacks you'd like to see at certain points of the game, using either strategy? I know that would help me.

For example, using your strategy if there is less than 2 shots on target at 30 mins (and a goal has been scored) would you be comfortable staying in?

Or in @Ryan-Carruthers case, maybe over 5 shots on target by 30 mins before entering the O1.5 market?

I think for a novice like me, a little direction in that respect would help a lot..

    Great video, thanks

Also, great you had Redzone on in the background. Also noticed the Finns helmet in the background 🙂

@neil-mallett Hi Neil - this is exactly my approach too, feel free to check out my review of the game and how I traded it in my thread. I think trading dynamically and taking positions throughout the game is the most sustainable way to be a successful trader. After a while you start to recognize prices that are at odds with the likely chance of it happening based on what your seeing. The skill is to be able to convert what your seeing into percentages and then compare with the odds on offer to take value.

@neil-mallett great stuff, no reason not to re-enter as long as you are not chasing losses and keep stakes sensible. Richard Futter will often enter a cricket market dozens of times per match, adapting to gamestate.

@martin-futter inspired by this video, I traded on the Everton game last night. I expected Everton to win or at worst, draw. After the first goal, I backed 2-1, made it a free bet after goal 2, just in time too. So nothing there but no loss either. Then late on with the score at 1 - 2, I thought another goal looked likely so layed Watford at 1.25 when Everton got the free kick, resulting in 1pt profit.
Normally, after having an unsuccessful trade on a game, I leave it & move on but this video was fresh in my mind so I looked for more opportunities.

    Thanks 👍

30 and 60 I think. I adapted it to what was happening live.

@martin-futter Excellent video. One query, are Ryan's times not 35, 50 and 70 for bet1, bet2 and get out ?

@martin-futter Great video mate. Made a lot more sense to me. Taking a loss on one market to then lay the draw to make your money back plus more. Just to let you know on bet365, the games that you were keep trying to find, there is a star next to each team, tick it and it takes all of your games to the top of the page.
