New Aussie Member- Jason

G'day Lads,
Name's Jason from Tamworth Australia and very excited to be a BTC Member.
I've already had a few emails back and forth with @Ryan but long story short I've had a bet and play around with Tennis stats/elo for a few years now and looking to get into the trading game.
I've watched a few of the videos and read some forums, really took a liking to the Lay the fav at 3-3 or 4-4 in first set. To do this betting strategy in-play betting is a must but here in Aus we cant in-play unless you either call up or use a VPS to hide your location with is illegal.
Which leaves me with the only betting option of pre-game. I know a lot about tennis so it is the sport I want to trade but if there are no pre-game strategies I may have to focus my attention to horse racing.
Just looking for a bit of advice on what strategies I may be able to trade pre-game?
Cheers guys.

@jason-simmons Sounds like a good plan to me!!
I've always liked the tennis due to the fact its 1 v 1 so only 2 markets and its always one, well like 10/11 months of the year.

Thanks Chris, Ryan and Martin for the replies.
I have watched the new member videos which are great and will follow in depth when I first work out which direction or sport I will focus on. Like Chris to have a set and forget tennis strategy really have to find the wrongly priced players.
With the tennis running for another 3ish months I might try find a common trend for wrongly placed players. Worst case I start the new year with horse racing?

All my tennis strategies are in play not sure tennis is suited to set and forget type strategies unless you can identify a player you think is priced wrongly you can back or lay pre game.
As @martin said maybe look at the outrights as long as your still ok to remove liabilities as tournaments progress

@jason-simmons
Welcome!
Great to have you in here after chatting back and forth on the emails and now the other guys can get stuck in too and help out.
when it comes to strategies in here we have some that we share but 90% of our ethos is around giving you the skills to build your own.
Have you seen these: https://forum.betfairtradingcommunity.com/category/10/new-members-start-here
I think it will be the best place to start and you'd be able to build a really solid pre match strategy.
Especially as our tennis has a ratings system too that will help!

@jason-simmons not got one myself as I think tennis can be hard to trade prematch, maybe outrights would be your best bet in that regard, are you able to green up during a tournament after the match?
Horses will be a good way to go!
