Hi guys. Has anyone experimented with placing doubles rather than singles. As in rolling your money over to the next bet. What’s the general consensus on them? Just thinking about Martins over 1.5 strategy. Low odds and a long term strike of 79-80% wondering if it would be better. I’ll look through the results myself but want to hear if anyone has looked into it before.

Had a quick look. Don't think doubles will work. When the strategy goes through periods of lose, win ,lose ,win you would lose a little more than singles. you'll need lots of long periods of wins to claw that back, plus all the extra work involved just at worth it.

@Terry-Heller makes sense but I don’t think bookies will offer very good odds. You can place a double on smarkets but liquidity isn’t very good.

@Martin I think I got the wrong idea about what he was thinking of doing. That sounds more logical. Though Accas can be a good trading tool especially as bookies can give you incentives of free bets if one leg loses in a fivefold

@Andrew-Dobinson
If there were 2 selections per day £10 stakes using 1.25 as odds
Placing singles:
Both lose -£20
1/2 Win -£7.50
2 win +£5.00Placing a double
Both lose -£10
1/2 win -£10
2 win +£5.60Placing a double gives an opportunity to lay in the first leg if there is an early goal possibly at 1.12 or lower and covering the stake or even giving a profit even if both legs fail to get the 2 goals needed
