@John-Folan My DOBs are quickly turning into a hobby....something I need to defeat rather than make money out of! L2B is the first strategy I have scaled....it’s flippin awesome. Thanks for pointing me towards it
They really are. I love them and it’s more about getting them right.
No worries. I make loads off it with very little downside. Easier than scalping. Really glad it’s working for you

Minus 3 yesterday. Mad first race and was just shy of dobbing. Never mind

@Tony-Hastie Respect! I only got into running in the last few years and am fairly comfortable with a half marathon. Ultras still seem like a complete pipedream though!
Look at you too. I’m just happy with my 5 to 10 k runs. My daughter made me feel old yesterday. She ran 10k in under 50 minutes. I average 35 minutes for 5k

1/1 Dob 1/1 Trob. So made back the three points lost yesterday.
Horse drifted out from below 3 to over 4 and still won. Just shows what the market knows sometimes.

Yes. When it's raining I find racing to be different. These are definitely affected. Look at it like this, when you were younger you hated running cross country in the rain. Why would it be different for horses?
That's true, even the promise of a full nose-bag at the end of the race didn't work on me...

3 points lost today. Bloody rain
I know we've talked about this before... are you seeing any correlation between the weather vs the going? In other words, the actual weather being a deciding factor independent of the going?

@John-Folan Yeah, doing really well in the races I can get on. The school run and after school clubs put a bit of a damper on things though!
Story of my life that was. I’m very lucky now. They are old enough to not be as much aggro

@John-Folan Going back to the L2B for a moment...
Dreammaker suggests he will only enter the market if there is plenty of lay money below the current lay price. How much would you regard as plenty? Ive been looking at about £50 at each of the next 3 prices. Its a starting point I guess. Interested to see your take...
BTW I found the guy who created this strategy in a discord group I lurk in...
He posted it in may 2023. Its much the same as the one in your original post. 2 new rules though...- needs to be 6 runners minimum
- must have had at least 4 previous runs
I’m usually looking for about the same. Preferably more. A good sign a horse is expected to fail and people are looking for value and may have already drifted.
Makes sense I usually leave lower runner numbers alone as a matter of course. 4 previous runs is a nice form history to start with as well.
Doing ok with these? Shame they can’t be automated but I just find the stop loss is taken too quickly

Scratch today. 1/1 dobs 0/1 trobs
-
@John-Folan unbelievable effort!! Great work
-
@John-Folan 19pts on Trobs is insane! Well done
-
A nice dob and trob on the only one that hit the odds today. 3 points to finish the month nicely.
So 5 points dobbing and to be honest an unbelievable 19 points on the trobs. This is purely because the dobs pick from a wider odds range and you get two points back for a trob and only one for a dob. Dobs are still running a bit short on strike rate so hopefully some lovely positive variance is coming my way. Trobs are literally where they should be. Both methods I am happy to say have hit new bank highs.
