Here is a complete list of rules for the Trobs. Most of this should be able to be filtered by our lovely new software when we get it
ALL of this is possible to filter in the software

@james-menhenitt yes that one. It’s in the first post

@john-folan hi! Just to clarify as I have a first look at the thread, are you referring to the ltb strategy you shared a few days ago?
Thanks!

@john-folan I think this will be my way of trading when I come back to the horses.
I used to have a real strong selection system to pick in play b2l that crushed it - see if I can revive it with the new software.
I’ll tag @Adam here too.
Yes that’s what I always found with automation for horses, because the markets go mental you’d get red and then it would be a huge green if you’d stayed in.
So frustrating that. It works if you have no stop loss. But you would need to backtest a robust selection process. If only there was some software coming out where you can do that

@ryan put it like this. I can live off just that. Its so easy. There is a knack to it but that’s just practice. It can’t be automated as inrunning odds are just all over the show but if you have the patience you can sit there and clock up some serious money.
-
@john-folan ahahah what we talking?
-
@john-folan you been using it?
-
@john-folan didn’t he also have another one that worked well? I’ve got it somewhere I’ll dig it out when I get into the software.

This is Dreammaker62’s L2B strategy that I have adapted and been employing to good effect lately. This is off Twitter so is public domain.
I do this manually as you can’t automate it without constantly hitting the stop loss. It is easy as long as you are brutal about trading out at the first hint of trouble. Sometimes the horses win so you don’t want to be staying in of it starts front running.
We will be adapting this for use with the new BTC software. Who knows might be able to dispense with the stop loss and automate it fully.
-
I’ve also added the Orignal Maria posts to the first post in here for future reference. They are currently being discussed in the horse racing thread.

https://www.timeform.com/horse-racing
Set yourself up a free account here. It provides you with the Betfair SP and Inrunning High/Low, actual going, race type etc for all historical races.
You can pay for premium information if you want. I don’t as I don’t get that granular on a horses performance. I prefer numbers.

I use this for my going reports in the morning. Any that are heavy or aw get struck off straight away. Later on it’s a bit slow to update so you are best off checking the actual going of the previous race at that course on Timeform if there is a chance it will change to Heavy.
