I was wondering if we could use Betfair's SP data to quickly build up a historic data set.
https://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/pricesWe could get race type, number of runners, BSP values and in-play min values
I'm working today so can't look at it until this evening at the earliest but might be useful?
-
So my bot ran overnight. I accidentally ran it with the wrong settings (i'd been tinkering before bed!)...basically it triggered on any race within 1200-1850m and with 9+ runners.
Luckily i ended in profit! (real money 10p bets)Summary table below if it's of interest.
Had I tightened it up to only select races with Fav BSP > 4 then the results would have been better and since doing that this morning the results have improved...with 2x4 matches, 1 x 3 matches, 2x2 matches and 2x1match
Currently, I'm not restricting on race type but will consider it after getting more data
PS. Start times are out by an hour for some reason

From what I can see the next 2 qualifiers are 10:10 at Cran & 10:35 at Pinj?
Will look more into Wagga

@alan-steward is there a video stream? recorded two races from their on spreadsheet
Not sure mate can check with the next race... Video to check Harness?
-
is Pinj without harness... Running in simulation mode now - 2 matched
-
Am running simulation mode at the mo and just had 2 matched in the 09:18 at Toow
-
The meeting at Wagga has race lengths of 1740mtrs do I presume this to be Harness... Or is it ideal sprint racing?

@james-everard Seems kinda pointless haha! Can a horse even reach top speed within 2 furlongs haha?
These are quarter horses not thoroughbreds. Like comparing Usain Bolt to Mo Farah.
-
@richard-latimer Found from the few races i have watched one of the favourites normally wins probably as their speeds are known and less chance of an upset in a shorter race

Have we established that the Aussie meetings don't work or does anybody know which ones are good to go?
Think i have establisted the following race courses not to trade on as they are normally harness racing. Menangle, Albion Park, Globe Derby, Bunbury. What are the best courses i can't confirm but that will save you time not scrolling through these race cards

@richard-latimer Yes mate over in a flash , i know what that feels like !!!
