Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One is superb. Tom Cruise has not done many bad films. He’s given me a lifetime of entertainment that’s for sure.
Also Transformers Rise of the Beasts is surprisingly good. Hated by critics and loved by audiences according to Rotten Tomatoes. I make them right. At first I thought the male and female human leads were diversity hires but they make the film. I like being proved wrong . Unlike some others my ego can take it.
Just got back from MI7 with my daughter. It's our thing! Bloody loved it!!
You're right re Tom Cruise. There will never be another quite like him. 60yrs old and still doing his own stunts
That train scene was mental. Talk about sweaty palms
Loved that bit. Was a bit Uncharted(the first game) with that bit. Was so tense.

I liked the car chase. Minority Report is superb. As is Edge of Tomorrow. Plus Hayley Attwell .
Oh Bumblebee has some moments in this and the ending promises some absolute gold if they follow through.
Thoroughly entertained today. Looking forward to Oppenheimer next week.
The car chase had some interesting elements and was well executed - just thought it overstayed a bit. Oppenheimer looks excellent - very much looking forward to that. There was a series a few years back called "Manhattan" that told the same story which was great too.
On a different note - just started rewatching Community on Netflix, which is a great watch. Quirky but with a bit of heart too.
I love Community. It’s up there with Parks and Rec and Always Sunny.
Thanks for the heads up on Manhattan. I’ll watch that.
Community was brilliant although it did suffer a dip when the writing changed in one of the later seasons. Was a shame when Troy left too but that guy went on to bigger and better things.

Watched Tom Segura's 'Sledgehammer' stand up on Netflix. Nearly choked, highly recommended.

@John-Folan Agreed. Apart from one overly long car chase sequence it was a very good film. Tom Cruise is a very dependable actor - Top Gun sequel was great and Minority Report is an old fave of mine.
Can't stand Transformer's films - headache inducing nightmares, normally - but I did enjoy Bumblebee which was a solid film with a good human element to the story. Will give Rise of the Beasts a go when it's out on streaming.

@Richard-Latimer I always thought it was the real life Simpsons of it's day!
Well the golden years of Simpsons before it went on waaaaay too long.
Easily one of the most intelligent things aimed at young adults in my time.
Kids love it and I still crack up at them all but Hal more than anyone
